Looking at the price...  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

Now how i really wish Proton used the 4 speed conventional auto... My friend has been using the 4 speed auto for 6 years now no issues at all... Sumore he naik turun genting with his car...

My 5 months old SV the CVT light has been coming on and off... Send SC also tak guna... They just clear the fault codes then say okay siap...

Try other SC. Mine done 43kKM still no problem, but the gearbox whine start to getting louder maybe because i haven change the CVT oil. Meanwhile i dont like how 4at drives whenever i sit in my friend's BLM. Because im already used to smooth CVT. 5MT is different case, i still loves manual.

Mine cvt 4 years no problem. Sudah jln jauh2 juga

My only problem , all 3 powah window. Cannot wind up down sad.gif

My driver and front passenger windows are getting weaker and weaker. Driver side will vibrate when winding up.

normal la love hate thingy. yawn.gif
love manual, love cvt but hate 4AT lol. 4AT same as manual if use shift stick lol. weird la u. lol.

padan muka buy proton. whistling.gif . typical gaga owners bragging about gaga problem but never have the initiative to repair. oh, i forgot, owner poorfag deswai but proton. sweat.gif
btw, clean the rubber strip, clean your windows and properly apply power windows lub will solve it.
why your windows getting weaker or vibate because actually your windows are struggling to move between the windows and the rubber strip. becuase of the rubber harden or there's some resistance that causing it, like debris.
when you ignoring the cleaning part and applying lube,, and while u also forcing the wondows to move, resulting you force the motors to move, keep doing that and your power windows motor will faster kaput. later kaput, either you will curse proton for assemble cheapjing sparepart, or you will be ashamed by others for buying proton.

proper way is to clean the rubber strip & your windows edge first because with the lub and debris combined like davidke20 once said,it will be mixed and harden and it will affect your power windows in the future.

I like CVT and manual because i can choose which rpm to drive with which speed, manual might not have the flexibility like cvt but still better than 4at.

Despite Proton having some minor issues from rattling sound to major issue like fail fuel pump which cost me 100 bucks to call a tow truck in 12am midnight, i still can accept, what more a weak power window issue.

What i had claimed and changed during warranty period:
-Both rear drumbrakes
-Driver door centre lock actuator
-Rear left wheel bearing
-Both front headlights
-Fuel pump
-Mysterious engine cant start after rest, SC have no clue

Now what im going to claim next are:
-Rear right wheel bearing
-Suspect engine/transmission mounting knocking sound
-Both power windows (still under warranty, might as well lah)
-Rear drumbrakes making knocking sound during hardbraking (suspect ABS kicked in because only happen on wet surface)

Lucky you. Your CVT light never lit up before at all ?

QUOTE(carcraze66 @ Dec 4 2015, 01:09 PM)
hahaha trust me, you wont get that problem solved esp when SC tell you "kita dah reset tu ECU, TCU apa U U U" it will eventually come back. i've been there, done that more than 5 times and i give up.

one way when u see that light comes up is either

1. turn on SAT and turn it off, light will goes off
2. change the SAT button or switch i dono (some say it works, but i cant get mine changed even go SC 10000 times)
3. changing CVT oil (this is based on my own assumption and yet to be tried out)

icon_rolleyes.gif
u lucky laa..haha.. but i have friends who owns saga flx as well, some memang hve no issue on what CVT light lol

That's very true bro. All TCU ECU U U U reset also eventually it will come back. I've just gone through it.

For point no 1, i strongly agree it helps. I agree as i have tried to do the same thing many times already and it works. The CVT light will go off and this in turns directly relates to point no 2. I believe the SAT button is the culprit if else why pressing it on and off gets the light to go off. It's like the SAT button is stucked in the middle between ON and OFF and this is causing the CVT light turn on.

Somehow i believe the SAT button is the one that's causing all the problem. I have heard some people who managed to get their SAT button replaced has managed to get their CVT issue resolved as well.

Now i wonder have anyone tried to remove their SAT button on their own? If there is, I sure would like to remove it as i feel it doesn't benefit anything at all.

Actually I want to remove it on my own but I don't know how to do it and whether there would be any effect (but i don't think there would be other than i won't have the SAT functionality anymore, which i don't care at all as long as it solves the problem).

I also don't care warranty void if i remove the SAT button as i already service my car outside.

What's the point of having warranty when light comes up you send SC also they don't know what else to do other than clearing the fault codes.

I believe our engine have very very less problem and if taken care well, should not have any issues even after 5 years.

Just my 2 cents tho... icon_rolleyes.gif

Kon9lan7fem belt position sensor wonky yawn.gif Now, what left is how you convince SC to open up your gebox and get the sensor replaced liao.

Alternatively, pray harder after oil change the sensor sendiri cure by itself with cleaner oil

OR, the car went totolos before it fully losses its value nod.gif

i think its silicone lube (it says power window lubricant). got some lying around. it solved the whining noise but not the stuttering noise. then again, rarely got rear passengers

No special skills.. I claimed all the items listed at Authorised SC branch except for the fuel pump. Because the car broke down at the place nearest to the HQ SC in Kuching. I got a friend working at the SC as a cashier and the head mechanic is almost my friend due to the fact that i complained too many issues.. hahah..
