been using 15" rims with both 185/55 15 and 195/50 15.

i could say 185/55 more comfort, but u need to forget taking a sharp corner at high speed. 195/50 having better handling.

fuel consumption - 4 years using 15" rims, i don't see any obvious saving. changed my rims once in these 4 years due to Malaysian road. buy a good quality rims than the cheap rims available in most market.
*
Wider tyres will not aid FC, its actually the reverse..
U need the same size but bigger diameter, then you will see some savings..
But like you said, handling is better the more rubber you put on the road..
So in the end its a much maligned problem of balancing the handling, comfort and FC of a car..

Recently just bought Saga FLX 1.3 plus. I wonder if side mirrow adjustment switch can be install without new wiring. Is there existing wiring if i want to put fog light and it switch. Bad idea to make after market wiring. Hope u guys can give any info. Thanks.

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif
Long time no hear liao... icon_rolleyes.gif

Cld yu pls explain how Msia classify Cat A & Cat B cars?
My search tells me Cat A is for cars not more than 1600cc & power less than 93 kW/130bhp...

However it differs fr country to country...with some acc2 length/size? rclxub.gif

And now new Saga is gonna b Cat A only...same as Bezza?
So...how was it our gen Gagas were classified as Cat B?

Comments fr anyone else wld b most appreciated.

Generally car segmentation is based on exterior size. While you can find some differing measurements on the internet for each segment, but the major deciding factor is WHAT the manufacturer is marketing the car as.

The new Saga is built on the same platform as the B-segment BLM/FLX, but it will be marketed as a A+ segment, a direct competitor to P2 Bezza. The new Proton B-segmenter will be the new Persona, which is based on the Iriz platform.

That means there's NO fixed real R&R 2classify as Cat A or Cat B?
More of up2 manufacturer's marketing decision? sweat.gif

Got la, there is a range of sizes in each segment which consumers will be familiar with. Honda can't possibly market a City as a D-segment ma.

There are grey areas such as the old Persona....bigger than the B-seg Saga, but smaller than C-seg Inspira and Preve, and priced in between this 2 segments.

Hi,'

Like l said earlier, there are trade-offs.. if u want better handling means a firmer suspension n wider tyres [ we are talking about dry weather.. here.. it seldom work for both..] n comfort n probably accelaration will suffer..
To me there is only a very slight difference [handling] in fitting those 'bars' - if  u want a more visceral experience change the springs [preferably a decent branded one like Eibach - at least got some semblance of comfort left..]

Cheers smile.gif

I think 1500 you can get a set of decent RE003 195/50/15 let say the price is 195each = 780 for 4. Rims you try to look for Advanti. there's a design that looks like CP035 price is about 700-800 depending on shops. You might need to stretch ur budget a bit to 2K but with trade in you can minue 200-300 bucks

Hey guys, need a bit of help here.

I can't start my Saga FLX SV CVT (2013 model).

So when I turn the key halfway there is the normal fuel pumping sound.
Then when I turn full, there is this tchk-tchk-thck sound with a somewhat inconsistent beat.
Also,
-Oil pressure warning lamp illuminates, engine warning lamp starts to blink, and battery charge warning lamp illuminates .
-The steering wheel is locked.
-The brake pedal also cannot depress at all.

Mileage is <40k and last service was 9 months ago at SC.
Car battery never changed before. I did try to jumpstart with Pajero but did not work.

Is this something I can DIY or should I just tow to SC?

Hi all. My saga sv cvt already past 40k.

As i read at 1st page, many thing to service at 40k.

Auto Transmision oil,
Cvt oil package.

Anyody can tell me what is estimated price for service at 40k.

And 1 more thing. Front right tyre already have screetch sound when ride over bumper. If plain road no sound.. some said absorber and some said boost *not sure.

What to repair?
