i jus bought a PC with 9800GTX . i played crysis with 500 wat supply..
it tends to crash back to Windows mode.Worst, it reboot/restart itself entirely.. I updated the latest graphic drivers. I din update the game patch by the way

Am i having power supply issue here..?

Chipset :Q6600 2.4ghz,
RAM :2x Kingston DDR2 KVR800 RAM
Graphic Card :MSI 9800GTX (Non - Overclock)
Motherboard :MSI MS7512 Platinum(CF)
PSU :Cooler master-Extreme Power Plus 500 wat
OS : Window XP SP3

absolutely , the cm extreme power 500w isnt a true power psu

it reboot when load ? or even idle ?

it happens rarely during idle...

but when during loading time especially Crysis.. always crash back to windows mode or u get bluescreen

i play max 30 minutes max b4 tat crash..

shud i get "700watt cool master real power psu"

ok, planning to buy new psu to power up Gainward 4850GS

Corsair HX520watt or Corsair TX650watt(one modular and other one normal psu)

planning to change into SFF in December but now still ATX

both almost same price

any comments which one i should choose?

easy... change this PSU to Real Power one

how about Cool master 700watt Real power?

more than enuf ..

i consider for future SLI integration..

its the PSU 700watt enuf for SLI?

Try this, Infiniti 720W True Power PSU, i believe this will be enough for u

Since u will change to SSF, I think HX520 will be better as it is modular...correct me if I am wrong...

if i have very very tight budget...below rm200
what is the best PSU for me....

or

i think 400watt above is enough for my pc

Silverstone ST400 should be enuf for you edy...and the price is below RM200...ur PC spec not consume so much power actually...ST400 still can support even if u do some minor upgrade (I say minor...)

if > Rm600 , i suggest buy PC Power and Cooling 750W Quad Red @ Rm585 from rockrock

If not, try this PRO82+ 625W at around RM499

OCZ Silencer 750w vs Corsair TX 750w

Both are good PSU, corsair priced at RM570 and OCZ at RM700

rite now i'm using Delta 670 watt psu to run quad processor, mobo, dvd player and headsink fan..
while hardisk, i just use the external.
