Seems like the RM388 rebate has been push back many times. Last few times i checked was 16/1, 26/1, 9/2 and now 16/2. I should be getting mine on 14/2.

I choose AW13 rather than the cheaper Asus/Acer/Lenovo or even the very expensive Razer is mainly because of the warranty and after sales service. My experience with Dell has been good.

You're right, 13" IS a bit too small, 1080p is perfect for 17" laptop, 24" desktop.

I still in between choosing Alienware 13 R3 or Illegear Z5 , main for Photo edit and video edit also can replace my current desktop for gaming.

Current desktop motherboard 5 years ago but fit with 1060 gtx. Not sure if above machine can have same performance as my desktop or not.

Saw on reddit people replacing the screen on their Dell 7567. I wonder if there's any shop already offering to do this and how much it'd cost hmm.gif if based on what I saw in reddit probably extra rm500?

Order one from ebay and swap it yourself. I've seen a Dell technician swap my Dell 7559 LCD, it is super simple.

Yeah seen some YouTube videos of it. But no confidence hahaha. Afraid I'd be too rough and break the bezel or something.

Hey guys, my 2 year old Asus ROG decided to die today so I have to look for a new gaming laptop. I am choosing between Dell new Inspiron and Illegear Q5 Evo.

http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-15-7567-...op/pd?flyingspaghettimonster=PD_OC

http://store.illegear.com/q-series/141-illegear-q5-evo.html

Dell offers good specs at very low price, but according to reviews the new Inspiron use TN screen instead of IPS, is there large difference between IPS and TN screens? My old Asus ROG use IPS screen, will I notice the difference?

Illegear Q5 Evo on the other hand offers similar specs and similar price like Dell, and bundle with IPS screen.

Typically you don't install games into your SSD. SSD just holds Windows and some commonly used applications.

Games are just too big to use on SSDs. If you have a 128 or 256GB SSD, you're gonna fill it in no time. New games now are like 40 to 80 GB in size.

Either you get a bigger SSD or use the HDD to install the games. What I do is I keep all my most used apps in the SSD then install games to the HDD.

Not sure about the Q5 but yeah I've read quite a lot of opinions online about the Dell's TN display. You can read a review here too on the laptop:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-Inspiron...w.196454.0.html

In short, yes the display is shit. Either you get the UHD variant, if it is available or change it on your own with a better replacement.

It reminds me of my Lenovo Y50. The display was also shit, it got similar reviews on it as the Dell but I got used to it eventually.

If the Q5 is anything similar to the S5, then the display is pretty good. Not the best but definitely way ahead than the Dell.

The big plus IPS displays are the higher accurary of color reproduction and also the wider angle view compared to TN displays.

Man, really liking the look on that Q5 EVO. Clevo base? Gonna wait til the reviews start rolling in but it's a pretty impressive looking machine fer shure, especially with it priced so close to the Dell Ispi 7k.

How's Illegear aftersales, any good? Especially compared to tahap-dewa Dell...

Thanks ChaChaZero for the useful information.

Is there a place I can view the Dell Inspiron TN screen quality in lowyat? Or Digital Mall?

I just chatted with Illegear and they confirm they use IPS or AHVA screen, not TN screen. I will also head to their store to view the quality.
