A good review, but I'm getting worried about how fragile the rubber coating on the mouse it. Will it start peeling off or breaking apart in a few months after use?
*
It won't get dmged if you use it carefully, try avoid water or hand's sweat on it for a long time, avoid getting near to something hard or sharp objects and most importantly don't put it inside a bag with the whole wire and usb connector if you're going to a LAN match or gaming. The usb connector will definitely scratch it, that's my lesson for my mistake to my precious copperhead sad.gif

Cool !! I totally agree here. Thats y I introduced the Razer LANParty Pouch for your precious mouse. It's retail @RM 38.00, but I'll be negotiating for a lower price soon. Check it out at http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/358741/+100 and look for Post #117. It's posted by z3r0717 and I think his review should clearly helps you guys save the DeathAdder, CopperHead, DiamondBack, Krait and any other mouse that is precious to you.

But I think the only disadvantage about it, is that you have to sort of like stuff the wire or wind it properly inside as it's size is just nice to fit the mouse. I'll reserve my comment about fitting the DeathAdder inside this LANParty Mouse Pouch coz I've not tested to put it inside yet. Will update this post soon.

Assuming the rubber material on Death Adder is the same as Diamondback's then I can tell you that you don't have anything to worry about. I didn't really take good care of my Diamondback and it peeled a bit, but after ignoring it it just disappears laugh.gif And my mouse is about to reach 3 years of age in a few more months I think.

IMO that Lanparty pouch does not save the deathadder or any mouse, and is also the reason why i dont use it even tho i have two of it, both gotten free from copperhead and diamondback.
its just too damn cramp to stuff both mouse and cables in.

its too bad some sellers came into the razer bulk late, or you would've been able to get the Lanpak.
this is what i have been using for the last few yrs to transport my mouse for any competitions/lan etc and apparently is no longer produced.

notice how much bigger it is, has a seperate place beside the mouse to store the cables.
was actually designed to be big enough to also carry your driver CD around, but that is useless.

PS. yea my mouse buttons are shiny cos i scrapped off all the rubber coating, got irritated and now somehow it feels much better tongue.gif
why the top part harder to scrape off i'm guessing is cos my fingers never reached that part so its still nicely stuck to the surface underneath.
i will be very interested to see how deathadder bodies look like in 6 months time, especially for those FPS users who prefer the palm style.

Okay, sounds like some sound advise. I'll see how it goes with the rubber coating. Never used such a high end mouse before. I basically use the RM10-15 A4 ones without the scroll wheel tongue.gif Did almost everything well, cept it didn't last for more than 4-6 months at a time.

i've tested the mouse for CSS as well(no, im just a casual CSS addict laugh.gif, not some professional gamer)
it can handle highspeed movements accurately without failing
seems like copperheads couldnt do that
however diamondback is possible though
i prefer deathadder's feel-in-hand more than diamondback, i always press those side buttons accidentally

edit: somehow i get to try out someone's barracuda as well
for musics la, it was totally hopeless laugh.gif
i guess for razer fans, its better for you to get another set of headphones
or just get the shure IEMs, they are pretty darn good too

Wow...RM350++ headphone is useless? How did you test it for music?

I'm using a Phillips HP-1000 for all my music/gaming needs. Sounds fine enough for me but if you ask the music experts they'll give you a list of how it's not good enough. Hence, different opinions from different users.

the drivers in the cans are just not quite made for musics
duno la, i've been comparing it to my headphones at home
not quite fair to barracuda la

basically they squeeze 7.1 effect into the headphone, thats why its expensive
you will get surround experience with that smile.gif

True.
Those are the people who can probably tell sounds each hertz apart. And the audio equipment for them would cost easily rm1000 and above

Well, to be fair, the Barracuda is made for gaming, which gives and advantage since its capable of producing directional sound within the cans. Although it costs rather high for something that would sound totally useless for music, it has its qualities for what its built for, gaming.

But alot of gamers like listening to music while ingame. So that's a little confusing. Does the Barracuda really sound bad with music?

Basically, yes, the Barracuda doesn't sound good for music. The same goes for SteelSound 5H and some other high end gaming headphones, I have tried them on, both from my teammates.

The positional audio on them is exceptional. Crystal clear - and that's what gaming needs. My personal opinion is that SteelSound 5H is a bit more accurate than Barracuda, but both are very accurate headphones so I might be wrong.

Personally, I use a Sennheiser HD580 for my gaming usage. Why? Because besides of gaming, the main usage of my headphone is spent on listening to music (not on the comp of course). Music is awesome on the Senns and the positional audio is acceptable. For my teammates though they don't really listen to music through the headphones and another is deaf he doesnt really care how his music sounds through the SteelSound.

FYI,

on head-fi the best gaming headphones to those fellers would be the Beyerdynamic DT770 and the Audio Technica A900 (both closed cans) due to their massive soundstage and sound quality.

they actually kinda doubt the gaming brands for headphones.
