This morning 830 checked real view for 6s+ rose gold 64gb. Noticed Maxis Cheras had limited stock and Gardens had "In Stock". Since Cheras was near for me, went to check at 9am but was told out of stock (proved real view isn't 100% realiable) .. Next stop, Gardens to hunt the phone. Reached 940, 3rd in like for queueing for the gate to open at 10. They opened at 10am, went in and was attended very quickly, told the model I want and the plan, then given a number to take the phone. The speed was impressive, got the phone within 15 min... The staff had a sheet of the phones stock availability for a day, noticed no 128gb stock at all across all models. And the model I want has only 8 pieces.. Space grey 64gb had 20 pieces... Then the crowd came...

QUOTE(wengjoe @ Oct 17 2015, 05:52 PM) get to play with the new phone for 5 min at 1U apple reseller store. Lol told you it will be snappier with the ram incrementalfirst impression, the phone feel very fast and snappy....3D touch feel pretty solid and the 2GB ram does make a differences in multitasking. but these incremental upgrade doesn't justify the extra 1k for the phone upgrade (6plus $3149). Will wait for the next generation of iPhone instead. |

am I just crazy, or did the screen protector for iPhone 6 wouldnt fit on iPhone 6s? I tried 3 different brand, and all have the same problem. Anyone here tried any screen protector that worked on their 6s?
edit: further googling reveals that I am not completely out of my mind. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7246714 wtf apple. This post has been edited by angelflames: Oct 17 2015, 07:51 PM |

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Oct 17 2015, 08:39 PM) Anyone noticed that the wifi is more faster for your iPhone 6S/ 6S plus? Yes I tested by clearing cache for both my 6+ and 6s+, installed both with Purify ads blocker and load the Verge site at the same time. 6s+ loads almost instantly, after few more seconds only 6+ finished loading. I would say is really fast as previously the home wifi for my old phone (Note 3) and iPad 2 are quite slow to be browser web page, sometime even unable to browser, I tot home wifi got problem some more Another clear difference is the memory paging between apps. Previous annoying refreshes jumping between apps on 6+ is confirmed non existent on 6s+ even after whole day use. Truly remarkable and helps a lot with the works I do (web development) And in term of frame buffer 6s+ is finally smooth. Previous 6+ historically has the worst framebuffer, barely enough...shamefully noticeable when minimising app. Notice 6s is now the smoothest mother jelly of all smartphones lol ![]() This post has been edited by sunyen: Oct 17 2015, 09:14 PM |

When in low power mode, is there any way to allow certain apps to still have background refresh and notification? I'd still like to have my messaging apps to come through as when I'm on low power mode, I have been missing out on messages.

I have to agree. There was something choppy about the 6 Plus when I first got it and I thought it was all down to the OS coz I've never used an iPhone that was this laggy before. The 6S Plus feels just like an iPhone suppose to feel right off the bat.Another clear difference is the memory paging between apps. Anyone here tried any screen protector that worked on their 6s? Yes it's like that for now, so better not buy expensive ones first. I've went through few tempered glass which are really cheap and all have the same problem as the expensive ones so it's more to the glass curve in the 6s.edit: further googling reveals that I am not completely out of my mind. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7246714 wtf apple. |
