Sometimes it's better to care less about such things and just enjoy the device. The Official iPhone 6s/6s+ Discussion Thread | V2, Get yours from Apple Online Store now!

QUOTE(sherlockms @ Oct 9 2015, 06:06 PM) now umobile already opens for pre-order, the prepaid plan seems like a good way to get a 6S/+ at much cheaper price. Open for pre-order? Online or at their U Mobile store?Example : If subscribe i40 prepaid plan RM3121.40 for iphone 64gb + RM254.40 for upfront payment = RM3376.41 If cancel plan immediately, no fine and only lost the upfront payment. RM3376.41 for an iphone 6S 64gb compared to retail price RM3699. Should worth it right? |

QUOTE(bearbear @ Oct 9 2015, 07:24 PM) But isn't this the whole idea of their strategy? Customers are not tied to a contract with them, just have to purchase a RM159 prepaid topup and also upfront, so if you continue to use their service then the upfront will be rebate back over time but if you don't use it they can still treat the topup and upfront as some sort of "termination fee" and to cover back their subsidy of the phone. |

Is it just me or I feel that the home button on the space gray should have some sort of silver ring to it like all the white front colors?
I like the space gray but the plain looking home button is somehow bothering me a little. |

QUOTE(harmeet15 @ Oct 10 2015, 01:37 PM) True story. Hope this matter will be put to an end soon. Yes but those custom made ones usually have quite a thick ring and looks a bit off to me.something like this right? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Oct 10 2015, 01:37 PM) I thought Darth Vader prefers everything in black? True, but somtimes Darth Vader needs some contrast too. I prefer it to be all black as it looks much sleeker. Thats why some buy the space grey for. |

I will be going for gold this time, I've never had a phone with a white front face so this will be my first time. Hopefully it will turn out fine.

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Oct 13 2015, 10:50 AM) The only issue I have with Space Grey is that the smallest dent/chip will appear to be very obvious. Ticks me off. For me, the space grey which does not have any contrasting ring on the home button somehow makes it look very plain, I love the black but the home button which remains all black as well is making me think twice. My wife's white/gold combination looks a bit eccentric. White/Silver however has that classic look. The white facet will be fine, you just need to find the right wall paper to make it look great. Anything with a white/bright background will make your iPhone pop. For instance, that Purple Chrysanthemum on a white background featured on iPhone 6. It won't be a feast to the eye though when the screen is sleeping. Not just white. Whatever colors, after a significant period of time, will be boring. Apple/3rd party companies know this and that's why they came out with a variety of phone cover colors. As for the gold, I think it looks alright when playing around with it at an Apple store but I don't know if I will regret my decision or not after a while. |

QUOTE(anulus81 @ Oct 13 2015, 02:27 PM) For Umobile, u shouldnt times 6% as the price is already inclusive GST, so ip6s+ 64GB, for i40 plan, Phone price should be RM3,572.20 and not Rm3,786.53 QUOTE(yclam5729 @ Oct 13 2015, 02:32 PM) Yes you are right. Then do you know what's total payment if one were to cancel the i40 next day for ip6+ 64GB? Are you guys talking about the postpaid or prepaid plan? |

QUOTE(yclam5729 @ Oct 13 2015, 02:39 PM) QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Oct 13 2015, 02:48 PM) If U Mobile would let you get off the contract so easily and sell off their phones at such prices, then the planners in U Mobile must be morons. I think I've read about this before on their Facebook page, they mentioned something about paying back the subsidy and you'll lose the upfront payment.e.g. 6S 16GB RRP RM3,199.00 - RM3121.70 = RM77.30 subsidy So upon termination you will have to pay back RM77.30 plus lose out on the upfront payment. If you're thinking of doing it this way then might as well just get it outright from an authorized Apple reseller. This post has been edited by OKLY: Oct 13 2015, 02:52 PM |

QUOTE(KaiHD @ Oct 13 2015, 08:23 PM) on Celcom website they have an iPhone plan, with complimentary 12gb data. anyone know what that's about? faq not saying much. Complimentary 12GB data is additional 1GB data every month for 12 months.also, thanks to technave.com, i got this chart. i don't understand why Umobile is the most expensive over 24 months, especially since they're supposed to rebate the upfront payment. QUOTE(attw @ Oct 14 2015, 08:28 PM) Ya man, Apple products are becoming unaffordable to the middle class now. Even if you could afford one, it makes no sense... QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Oct 14 2015, 08:42 PM) But to be fair, that's mainly due to our weakening currency. You don't see that with Singapore prices. It's more like the elimination of middle class to either poor or filthy rich. Lol Even Android flagships are becoming more expensive. It affects everyone and cannot be helped with our weak currency. |

QUOTE(nemesis94 @ Oct 15 2015, 08:21 AM) So, what are the chances for me to get the Iphone 6s via Machine/MacCity if I'm not planning to queue very early in the morning tomorrow? Or should I just order it online for better chance? Should still be possible but avoid popular places like Machines KLCC and Mid Valley, Mac City 1 Utama and so on. |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 15 2015, 08:29 AM) Assuming most people would get a 64GB phone, then going to Machines and Mac City for a 6S means paying RM3,699 outright without telco subsidies. If you're going for a 6S Plus, it means paying RM4,199 outright. Somehow I don't think the queue will be as bad as last year. Yes, the fact that it is much more expensive now in Malaysia and also it being just a 'S' release, the queue might still be okay. I think many also went with pre-order option with whichever company that were offering it last week. |

You can start camping at KLCC from 10pm tonite and Im sure you will get your phone tomorrow morning when the stores open. 12 hours of wait there, no thanks. QUOTE(tytung @ Oct 15 2015, 10:34 AM) Maybe U Mobile or if you want a more reputable telco perhaps you can take Celcom's First One Plan which is RM48 monthly and they are giving 3GB data for now (not sure when the promo will end), then you can always buy additional data of 5GB for RM50, so in total it is RM98 for 8GB of data. |
