General FAQs:

1. When is the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus launching in Malaysia?
October 16th, 2015

2. Warranty policy for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus?
The warranty for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus is 1-year limited and only valid on the country of purchase and will start the date you activate the phone. So for non-Malaysia units, you might not be able to claim your warranty at any service centres in Malaysia. For those who bought from retail stores such as Machines/Switch, please bring your phone back to the store of your purchase for warranty claim. Telco unit should be claimed from telco as well. Those who order from Apple online Store should call them up and request for pickup and replacement. Read more here >> http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/produc...ocument-us.html

3. Should I get the 16GB or 64GB?
DO NOT get the 16GB. WE REPEAT: DO NOT GET the 16GB model. With 4k video recording, live photos and many more features, 16GB will never be enough no matter how well are you in managing the data on your phone or you live the cloud life.

4. Should I get the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus?
It's up to you. If you think larger screen is better then go for it.

5. When Apple said 16/10, it means that we can buy on that day or it'll start shipping on that day or...?
It means you can start ordering from Apple Online Store or any authroised retail store.

That's why I don't really feel to upgrade
This time feature upgrade its not amazing for me
But at least 5 to 5S, the Touch ID makes me want to change
*
On paper, the 2 main selling point is 3D Touch and 4K video but there are other improvements that comes with the phone and from my experience:

1. Battery life - far more superior than 6+, no joke. The phone also runs cooler despite continuous usage, clearly an improvement over the A8 chip.

2. Faster CPU & more RAM - The 6+ was a bit laggy/sluggish but the new 6S+ is blazing fast, smooth and crisp. The extra RAM also helps when you multi task, open multiple windows in Safari, etc. Games and apps load insanely fast.

3. Faster LTE - Same network, same spot but with the 6S+, the speed is much faster.

4. Camera - Improvements to it and front camera now captures much better quality selfies.

It's subjective on how everyone justifies whether it is a good upgrade or not and besides, it's up to us on how we use the phone. When we buy something, it doesn't mean we need to use ALL the features. We buy something because we love and want it. People that dictates how others uses their stuffs are just pathetic smile.gif

For the same reason, a 40 year old woman can buy a Mini Cooper S but is it a concern if she uses all the features, if she speeds, if she takes sharp corners? She buys the damn car because she wants/loves it biggrin.gif

Hence, just decide if it's a good buy for yourself and most importantly, you need to enjoy it. Personally, I feel that it's a good upgrade. Just my 2 cents.

So, I assume the price for the 6s on Machines and MacCity will follow the price on the official Apple website, right?

I didn't have any luck last night/this morning. I'm a debit card user and Maxis told me they don't accept debit. Just.... WHYYYY

Looks like I have to buy it on Launch Day like a noob. Can you guys recommend me the best time to queue @ Maxis? Should be the same time as self-collection, 7AM right? Or earlier lol

I'm planning on getting an iPhone 6S for my wife as she's currently using the iPhone 5. But if I want to retain her number but go for a contract (with DiGi - her current cellular provider), is this possible? hmm.gif

Although I know getting the new iPhone will be futile since it's pretty much out-of-stock everywhere! sad.gif

Quoting from imore : To be clear, if you're a tech enthusiast who is super into extreme workloads and synthetic benchmarks, it's an interesting subject to knock around. If you're a mainstream consumer, ignore the noise. There's no meaningful difference between iPhones and your time is much better spent enjoying your new phone
