QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Nov 16 2015, 05:02 PM) If change to AMD, you need a more decent PSU than the currently suggested FSP Hexa+ 550W (you can switch to the Seasonic 620W I suggested above) because AMD card is power hungry, not recommended to run on low wattage PSU. Thanks dude. You're awesome AMD R9 390 = GTX 970 AMD R9 380 = GTX 960 The question of fit or not fit is solely depends on the model you get, different brands have different lengths. |

Hey,i am planning to build a computer from scratch, discontinuing the laptop tradition of my family haha. My budgt would be around RM3 500, as i posted last week for gaming and casual school use (Interested in Fallout) I will reuse my mouse only,so aside from the rig i need a monitor too. I would like an Intel chipset, Nvidia Card and a 1080p monitor, not to mention a SSD for super fast bootup speeds. Also is it possible to use Windows Product key from my laptop to use on this new rig? Thanks in advance |

Thank you! Intel Pentium G3250 - RM 235 Asus H81M-K - RM 240 Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Value RAM - RM 209 Gainward GT730 1GB GDDR5 - RM 249 WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 225 FSP Hexa+ 400W - RM 155 Thermaltake Versa H25 - RM 139 Total: RM 1452 (Techview price inclusive of GST) G3250 + GT730 should be able to let you run Dota 2 and CS:GO at probably medium settings at 60 FPS, lower down the settings more if you want consistent 60 FPS since you don't mind graphics settings. |

Hi sifus
My son plays FPS like TF2 and he also renders and records videos. Is it possible to setup a good rig which he can play TF2 at high FPS and no lag for RM2K? Room for future upgrades if possible too. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks ! |

TF2 as in Team Fortress 2 right? If yes, then 2k budget is able to build a rig to run it, the system requirements for TF2 is quite low. But for video rendering/editing part, quad core CPU (i5 and above) is recommended, it will still render/run on dual core (i3 or Pentium G), but it will take longer time to complete the task. I am afraid that your budget might not be able to fit an i5, if you try to squeeze in i5, you end up with low end GPU, which is still possible to run TF2 at high FPS, but probably at low settings, if your son is ok with this then I'll go on. |
