Yup. Camera was excellent. 4K Video not disappointed. Dock already solved my 4K Video playback to my ancient 65" Plasma.

I knew Sony Z5 Premium can give me the features I want but 950XL just something unique out of the mainstream smartphone.

Apps availability not an issue for me since I got a spare 8" Lollipop LTE Phablet.

When you say auto, you mean Rich capture right? The 'wand' on the right side of the command bar is on A setting right? Rich capture tries to blend multiple shots together to give you adjustable flash and hdr features. That usually gives good results, but...

If your shot has a lot of fast moving objects, it can mess up. So turn it off if you're in that situation. Or just slide the slider bar when adjusting the lightning to far left or far right to get the unblended pic

only used the video function once, that time i wasnt using 4K but 1080p and also test the "turtle" mode
have to say, the slow-mo working fine, only gripe is no sound.


yeah that the one. 100% agree with what you are saying on the auto rich capture, most of the time i use auto is to take static photos. if there are moving objects usually i use manual mode.

i kinda miss the old lumia camera app rich capture, where you can adjust the effect of the HDR, but now mostly you can only adjust the brightness, that also only works when you turn on flash (or flash auto) when taking photo.

Just updated my 950XL to latest firmware 10586.71
Well I hope this bring better improvement to the phone
Though its app quality is generally poorer than androids I had manage to install most of the app I needed

Whatsapp - only issue I don't like is the bigger fonts
I rarely had this loading and resuming issues
Both Twitter and Facebook app are OK and no such issues as him
Waze has been fine for me so far

Seriously quality wise is true Windows app still lag behind Android/IOS equivalents

I don't know how experienced he is as a user !! Seems he had so much problems with his phone !!
