Is that a recurring problem or one time only and will be mended once it is changed?

Is it suggest to send car Aircond for service when it is still work as normal, for a 6 years old car. Or wait till it broke?

The price quoted in term of 408 1.6 Turbo for maintenance varies quite a lot throughout this thread. If I may humbly ask, what is the rule of thumb for financial feasibility of owning this lion? Like put aside rm200 every month?

1. Woah, seems like monthly budget of rm200 wont be enough to maintain the car. Coz if say every 6months fork out of rm1.5k sum up to rm3k a year. Plus normal n major service some more. More like rm500 a month wor.

2. Not necessarily 408t. Any car with good price/performance suits my taste since I wanna buy cash 2ndhand. Still looking for reliable VIMS service though. Any insights for VIMS or alternative car model?

4. Nope, I prefer to use as standard as possible. Neither racer nor ricer. Prefer the car longevity. Hence looking car with value for money.

RM50 per pair is very2 cheap. But I don't know how to purchase from China direct. Did you get the clips as well?

Hi guys, I have a 1.6t (2013 model) just curious any ideas on causes of engine oil losses ? Also, my car tends to hover abit during the 2nd gear, when I accelerate it tends to hover around 2000 to 3000 RPM before shifting into 3rd gear, any idea on the cause of this ? And also how are you guys fairing with your pugs after these few years.

Yes internal material is good quality,except roof lining. Had lining redone 4months ago. Mine 8 years already,overall interior still  pretty good.

This is quite common on our 408. I had it done at Sunway, OEM product. Very good job, cost RM400/-

I just sent my car (2013 made 408T) for parts recall. They replacing compressor and condenser. More than 7 years car still have recall.
Anyone done it? Seems initiated early this year based on SA

Hi everyone, first time posting here. Need your advice.

I have a 208, bought in February 2016. It got the recall for air conditioning in 2018. Recently, the air conditioning starts getting very hot every time the car is stationary (e.g at the traffic light, parked in a parking lot). Sometimes this even results in the engine overheating and I’m given a warning to turn off the engine.

Another issue that I have had recently is I have a weird sound coming out of my left front tyres. They were unfortunately replaced with the wrong size of tyres (205/55/16 instead of 195/55/16) but I didn’t have this issue until very recently.

I’m not so confident of sending my car to an official SC. I’ve done some research on Renautech and looks like they’re the real deal. Do you guys think I should send my car there? Also, what do you think are the issues with my car? And lastly, do you guys know roughly how much it will all cost?

Hi everyone, after months of stalking of all y'all comment and feedback, I've finally just got myself a 2013/ 2014 registered used 408 1.6T, as I understand it may or may not be a problematic cars, depending on our luck, hence I've decided to go for a 408 that have warranty until next year June 2021, I will be able to collect the cars on next Monday, do you guys think I should send to service centre or can go to outside professional workshop like renau tech? Thank you guys and I'm really happy to join the Peugeot family!!!!

After turn off the engine, the fan is still very loud like for 3 minutes. No faulty signal appear.

At this rate sound like evaporate and escape from the bottle cap. Try replacing the cap.

By right should not, maybe the hose which is not good and only leaks when hot temp? The water pump pipe or heater hose maybe?
Last year when i had severe leak on the coolant, upon checking by Renaultech, replaced Thermostat housing, wire, heater hose, water pump pipe.
After that all good.

Yes I agree, preventive maint is so crucial for our baby lions . Anyway Im thinking of changing my rim, got bored of it  . Any suggestions on where I can get good choices. As it is, it's really tough to find a good looking PCD 4 rims
