The 2 plastic intake hose, just go exhaust shop ask them to use a 2" pipe stainless steel. Kao tim. But need to machine the sensor plug point. Wont cost as much as original plastic hose. Last a damn bloody long time. Looks nice also

Silicone hose eventually the colour will fade or change. Due to the heat.

My 408T is currently running ok. Going into 6th year soon.
I'm going to do some preventive maintenance, 8k budget, any advise what I can do?

Should I do anything about the ac compressor,  condensor,  cooling coil? They have been replaced 2 years ago. But now ok.

Its more durable than the ori plastic of course. But silicone being silicone, it will bound to breakdown over time. By that i mean A LONGGGGGG time. The color change and fade will definitely happen first. Then later on when it starts to weaken, it may expand when air it being send through it. Like got bubble when you throttle. Happen to me when i was dyno-ing. My silicone joint break after that.

So stainles steel is better in my personal opinion. You can go the the shop to get those ready made. Or you can go exhaust shop to compare the prices and you can get them to make the compression route the way you want. Just remember to get them to machine the sensor point if you go exhaust shop.

I did mine from an exhaust shop long time ago. Custom made it. I do one shot with my front mount intercooler. All researched, purchased and custom myself. After that got few shops started selling the full plug-and-play set. So more convenient now.

Go look around and research from shops la. Getting opinions is good. Can learn and experience new things. Can compare prices and services and expertise. That's the fun part about modding. The process of modding is the fun part.

I'm on a budget at the moment, didn't realize the thread until service time, so didn't budgeted for tyre change

Today I got this message "Battery charge or electrical supply faulty" indication.

The battery icon kept on lighting up during my drive. Then out of sudden the ABS light was lighted up and from that moment, my car engine slowly loss its power and come to a stop. The car aircond is not functioning well and was being cut-off. I tried to re-start the engine but not working. Got to tow the Pug specialist workshop.

I tried to Google from the forum, likely due to coolant pump problem. Worst case will be the alternator is faulty.

Anyone encountered this problem before?

guys, those who have owned the car more than 5-6 years, what are the sensors you have changed?  ABS is the most common i guess...
How about others like intake manifold sensor, oxygen sensor and etc?
I just changed my intake manifold sensor as out of the blue, engine fault shown and after diagnose, showing intake manifold sensor fault..
seems we have many sensors and each will give way after 5-6 years of usage..

I sent it to SC for engine replacement and they broke my both headlight assembly, but I'm happy that they replace my engine, Aircond, and other few items after 100K driven and 6 years, still got 1 year warranty left.

Just want to share, a few weeks ago I bought a cheap ELM327 v1.5 OBD2 from Shoppee.

Connected it to my 408T, but the famous Torque app failed to get any readings.

Then I found an app which specializes in french cars (FAPLite), and ti my surprise it works!

Some readings are available, error codes are readable, but I have not succeeded to clear any fault codes.

Friendly warning to all.
Avoid using OEM brake pad e.g. Valeo if you do no want to hear the squeaking when applied brake.

Changed front brake pad at a shop at Taman Mayang PJ (A.. M.... Express). Valeo brand at RM250. Nightmare start....every time apply brake, regardless high speed or tailing in a jam. The squeaking sound will accompany

2-3 times back to the shop and the owner only help to clean the pad with sand paper. On the 3rd visit, replaced the disk (RM390) as recommended. Hope the sound will resolve but the peaceful drive only last 3 days.

back to the shop again, again clean with sand paper which not solving the problem. 5th visit, the owner replace another new pad (Valeo brand) also using warranty. This time worst, not even 1 day the sound appear.

The shop owner seem no interest to resolve the problem even I am willing to pay new brake pad in other brand.

Finally go to SG Auto at Taman Puncak Jalil (my regular workshop), problem resolve by replacing the Valeo brand pad with original Peugeot. The foreman show me the different of workmanship of both brand.

Just ask mech to tighten it back. The lever is adjustable. But please do not over-tighten. ECU will read it as overboost and CEL will come out. Adjust it just enough until the sound is gone.

   

Anyone know is this considered turbo intake hose cracked?
I also notice there's oil residue around the area and turbo intake housing which i found abit uncommon.
Also just sharing some issue with my ethp
Steering pop & squeeze sound when turning left & right in low speed. Sc said problem with steering rack & need replacement. 3 months lead time, parts order from france.
Even AC compressor also need to order from france. 3 months lead time, shitty SC don't keep extra parts in their store?

Got error code P101, so i googled, it was temperature sensor error. Upstream pipe radiator is very hot, so i suspected the thermostat not open. Consulted my friend mechanic, who specialises in contis, he told me to change the whole thermostat assembly.

First weekend DIY project on my 408thp lol. Still waiting for parts from China. Wish me luck.
