By March 2017, first batch of PRC students will study in Matrix Global School for 18 months IGCSE preparation course , at least 300 per year as per agreement between MGS & a Shanghai institute, wow BSS on the way to become international education hub tongue.gif

This PRC Students/parents may create demand for housing be it for rent or subsale market, good appreciation for houses near by MGS especially Dextora rclxms.gif

However too many PRC students also not so nice, 300 out of 1,000 already 30% hope more expatriates or Malaysian parents will send their kid there to balance the ratio.

The Star also reported this event rclxms.gif

MATRIX Global Schools (MGS), one of the fastest growing private and international schools in Negri Sembilan, has added another feather to its cap following the signing of a collaboration with a reputable college from China to provide an 18-month preparatory programme for students from the republic.

Through the collaboration, at least 300 students aged between 15 and 17 years from the Shanghai Zhangjiang Specialized College are expected to enrol for the programme for a better grasp of English, Science and Math, in stages at MGS beginning March next year.

Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (MCHB) group managing director Datuk Lee Tian Hock said what made it even sweeter was that the Chinese decided to pick MGS after having visited about 20 such schools in the country.

“The Chinese delegation eventually decided that MGS had the best facilities.

Lee said under the collaboration, Shanghai Zhangjiang Specialized College will send 50 students to MGS next year, followed by another 100 in 2017 and 150 in 2018.

With the arrangement, MGS has become the only Asian destination for students from Shanghai Zhangjiang Specialized College.

The college, which was established in 2002, also sends its students for similar programmes to Britain, the United States and Italy.

Ok at least not 300 students in one go, their "culture" won't be dominant here

I emailed TIME regarding future expansion of their service in BSS.

This is what they wrote back:

"It is a constant effort here at TIME to make our services accessible to more Malaysians, however, we do not yet cover the building/area you live in Seremban.

Please keep up with us on our Facebook page where you will receive updates on the progress of our coverage expansion initiatives, or you can always check here. You may also register your interest in our Wish List form if you haven’t already done so. We will take it into consideration in our coverage expansion planning."

So those who are interested in signing up for TIME, can register your interest here: http://www.time.com.my/we-hear-you (Wish List)
