Tips for laptops with haswell

1. Use Hibernate and not hybrid sleep/sleep. This is zero cost to bat.
2. Use min cpu at 0% for powercfg presets. Haswell has IVR thats super duper fast that can reduce voltage to zero with C6 or was it C7.
3. Enable Hibernate on close of lid/after sometime. I disable sleep totally.
4. There is no need to shutdown.

Comp starts off wherever i left before in seconds. The battery we have are lithium polys. I have not started the laptop in 2 months.. and just start from hibernate.. battery still in 90s
Stuff like cover in cloth/bed/mummy&wifey mishaps no issue.

Willaw
Thats pretty quick line issue. Luckily illegear custom and princej and crew are handson to change that. Benefits of illegear. Thats y i find it odd ppl in sales thread asking me about warantty with trade in with asus. I tell them asus/msi warantty is suspect.. not illegear.

So I went to Illegear today to get my laptop fixed. I thought I'll have to leave the laptop there and come back later to get it (maybe after work or later in the week).

But no, I was asked to have a seat, and then the boss moved on to take out a new screen and change it on the spot. It only took about 15 minutes I think.

After that, all is well! I am impressed with the great service!

I highly recommend Illegear!

PS. Maybe this should be in the front page review as well. biggrin.gif

That's great to hear, it's good thing the illegear team takes things seriously, I bet even if they're very busy with lots of orders you'll get it latest by tomorrow. Now compared with the service from other brands I can say it's like sky and earth right? Other brands might take you weeks or months to repair a simple screen and the worst is you can't use your laptop.

It's not about if the screen will spoil or not is when it spoil will they replace or not and how fast they can replace, in the end the customer just wants to use their laptop.

Might consider taking the extended warranty when near expiry too if you can afford it

I'm definitely considering the warranty extension. I have up to 90 days starting from the initial purchase to decide.

I gotta agree with u.
I jz rma my gc
As mine is old version, no longer available and I am busy working with my laptop, i unable to send my laptop to them so i only send them the gc and illegear generously send back the gc to clevo at Taiwan yo, without charging me, and I only needed to pay for postage only. (To illegear and back to me)

And I must say they, clevo and illegear is damn fast
Cos I was inform that there's no ready stock for the card at clevo and I was expecting at least 30 to 60 working days to get repair.

To my surprise, it takes less than 20 working arrive at my house. From Taiwan yo.. and no readily spare parts. This is fast.

To illegear and clevo, thanks so much for the good service and special thanks to prince j for the generous offer and such good parcel protection triple protection yo.. bubble wrap 2x and a hard cover box

Really appreciate it.
And highly recommended illegear

High quality product with high quality service,
Definely will have a lot satisfying customer.
