Hi guys, what kind of car mats do u use?
any recommendation? thx wave.gif
*
I got mine from Sh@rty 5's shop. I took the expensive one as it has warranty and is actually thick so when you put your foot down then you can really feel some form of cushion. It is also odorless. Fits very well as they cut according to their size thus you have extra mat wrapping the sides giving the car a raised up flooring effect.

Edit: he posted images a while back in the club here.

I know we've spoken about FC but as I reach the 1k Km mark my FC is getting worse and worse... When I got it, the first day it was on 5.6 l/Km as it progressed, it increased, and now we're on 9.0 l/Km... ohmy.gif  This is pretty insane to me rclxub.gif . I have the 1.6 MT. I don't drive fast or recklessly, I am gentle with the engine and the gear, shifting between 2.5k to 3.5 k RPM.

Any other experiencing the same?

I wonder if after the first service it will get better...  hmm.gif
*
Mine started improving after each fuel up then it stabilized. Today I got 11.9km/l

Hahaha yes it is!!! Specially on the 1.6 MT I have. The power band is roughly from 3200 to 4600 RPM. It really pulls.
11.9 km/l is awesome.Though my 2013 Myvi used to get 13.4 km/l but it was 1.3 MT SXi
*
I drive mainly on city roads. Last time I went on highways then I got 16km/l with about 75-80% highway.

Anybody knows if I can get slip-on leather set for my seats? Is there even such thing or I have to go to kedai and replace the fabric with leather altogether?
*
You can buy from certain car shops. Cost is from RM3XX onwards. Example.

QUOTE(rigo3t @ Oct 10 2015, 02:55 PM)
Yeah, I've also refrained from stepping on it too hard to avoid destroying my fuel budget.

I'll try on this tank and see how it goes.
I have a trip to Taiping this end of the month, I'll keep it nice and steady and see if I get those figures, aided by the first 1000km service.

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Oct 11 2015, 01:13 AM)
I find the engine braking too aggressive for my liking..

Often times in these 2 situations:
1) When approaching a red light or when you saw the light just turned red, your car is carrying enough speed to cruise beyond the traffic light, so you pull your foot off the accelerator and start pressing the brakes, then engine braking kicks in and stops the car earlier than expected and haven't even reach the traffic light, so have to accelerate up again to the traffic light...

2)When going over speed bumps. Same story. When you think your car is moving with enough momentum to go over the bump, so you lift off the accelerator pedal and brake lightly, then the car slows down tremendously before u even reach the bump and now has not enough momentum to go over the bump, so again you need to accelerate...
anyway wanna ask, when you guy steer the car, does the steering like gives more "room" after you initially fully turn the steering wheel? Like you steer all the way to the right (while the car is moving, for example when making a u-turn) then after that the steering somehow can still turn a lil bit more to the right.  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
1 & 2. Is that a characteristic of cvt or brake assist? For my case the car tends to over brake sometimes (im sure i pressed the correct amount for braking as I dont have this problem with my old saga). Btw im driving manual so I am in control of my engine braking.
The last one, I didnt notice. Have to test it out.

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Oct 11 2015, 01:25 AM)
Also, just wondering, how do you guys start your car?

Do you :
A) Turn key from Off position to Acc/On then only to Start.
or
B) Turn key from Off position to Start straight.

I personally do B.
*
A & B depending on how fast I need to start the engine. Normally Acc/On > on camera > wear seatbelt > start.

QUOTE(fever003 @ Oct 11 2015, 10:22 AM)
Yes! I noticed this too. When doing uturn only i realized this. When im trying to reverse park or turn steering while not moving, i dont get  that extra "room".

Anyway, want to ask, anyone changed  their horn? And what brand is a reliable one that sounds abit "garang"?

Does this void warranty?  How much to change one?
*
QUOTE(rigo3t @ Oct 11 2015, 10:47 AM)
Ohhhhhh I also want to change my horn. I previously changed my Myvi's horn to a Bosch, much better... It's the same model that Audis use but I can't recall the model number.

Would it void the warranty? Because I need to install a relay too.
*
I changed mine to Hella twin horn + relay. The shop used O rings to attach them. Since no cutting of wire so warranty shouldnt void.
user posted image
Total cost for horn + relay + labor = RM115 iirc.

Cool, thanks for the input. Which shop?

And sound sample?
*
Layabg-Layang at Shah Alam. No sound sample but when the car is stopped and you press the horn then can feel the car vibrate brows.gif

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Oct 11 2015, 03:06 PM)
Btw, what do you mean by over brake? Don't understand that..  hmm.gif

and yes, do test and see whether you notice the steering gives more "room" when you are doing tight turning like u-turn or entering parking ramps.

as for starting engine, I always do B. Nothing wrong right if straight start car from Off position and don't stop at Acc/On before starting car?
*
What i mean is when you press on the brakes then its as if you applied too much brakes. Not sure how brake assist works and if that could be the cause.

As for starting the engine, years back I remember people always tell auto car drivers to wait for check engine light to go off before starting.

Huhuhuhuh..

Today.. After 1 week+ of ownership. I underestimated the length of the car, and went into a parking lot deeper than I should. I scratched my front bumper down there, I think it's the bodykit that I scratched.  cry.gif  cry.gif  mega_shok.gif

Scratched against the curb. It was a painful sound. Front view no damage, have to bend down and look only can see the damage (thank god no front view damage)

As bro cwkc93 punya wise words. "Oh well take it as the car sudah "dirasmikan" or "officiated" for our non-BM speaking owners."  sweat.gif

So guys, where can I buy this EzyTouchUp Paint? and how much does the bottle cost?
*
I got mine from jusco. ~RM50. Mine also badly scratched when I went to a farm at camerons then as I was going downhill then there was a very deep puddle.

hmm rm50 just for base coat? I saw at Ezy's website if base coat 1 bottle RM38

I'm thinking of buying their combo set, Got base coat, clear coat, wax & grease remover and rubbing compound for RM63.

If jusco so expensive, then i'll just order online then..

Ok price aside, are you satisfied with the product? I see a lot ppl recommend it for scratches, etc.
Btw bro adijb, just to double confirm with u, silver moon dust code is A0206?
Cause there's Silver Moon Dust (A0206) and Moon Dust Silver (A0209).

Thanks in advance guys!.
*
RM5X with just 3 bottles inside, grease/wax remover, base coat and clear coat. Some vehicles might have multiple colour codes, my box has about 3 colour codes but the colour on my car is about right.

Yeah I went to ask too. I want to tint the windows, Malaysia is soooooo hot. Are these RayTech the real ones? I don't want bubbles and reduced heat rejection in two years.
*
QUOTE(rigo3t @ Oct 14 2015, 01:56 PM)
They quoted me for 1100, the whole car with 4mil with 70% visible light blocking.

Minus the RM 300 voucher.

I read somewhere that some people pay up to 2000 for the same,  I'm just concerned these are not real.
*
What do you mean are they real ones? I think depends on brand and other things which can make it up to RM 2k. So far mine is good. Security at the sides and front and rear i forgot what their using.

There's another forum here in LYF all about window tint. Many users say that they have started imitating different brands and selling them at the price of the original one and then the warranty doesn't apply in all stores just in the one you visited for the install.

I guess it's just safer to go straight to the authorized distributor of RayTech and have them quote me.
*
Mine came with RayTech documents and RayTech warranty card. They even pasted stickers at my power windows telling me not to open for 24 hours and at my heater telling me dont on heater for 1 week(or something like that).

So low 2nd value?
*
His selling too cheap already. According to car market value guide, his variant has a market value of RM 47,100. Probably doing a fire sale if he really is relocating out of the country.

yep my other settings are all center balanced. Left/Right & Forward/Rear settings that is.

Only this DSP i tak faham.. It has Front/Passenger. So want to understand more on this function. But Manual no explanation of it at all.
Currently using Passenger for this DSP as it has an overall nicer balance to the sound compared to Front..
*
To me front seems to focus the sound more to the front and I notice it reduces the effects or removes the effects of the volume drop during bass drops. Passenger balances the sound at front and rear to be equal.

QUOTE(babisotong @ Oct 19 2015, 10:28 AM)
O.o regarding manual transmission down gear going through corner you can somehow avoid clutch/gear wear by matching the rpm. For example currently using 3rd gearĀ  2k rpm and you going through corner you can drop the gear into 2nd gear(don't release clutch yet) press your throttle(until rpm 3) then release your clutch. i always do like this to match my speed and my rpm..

is it ok for me to do like this? i learn this kind of thing from internet, people discussing about it but somehow i forgot what car club forum i get it from. If you find it wrong please do enlighten me
*
Rev-matching should be no problem and should be better than just dropping gear without rev matching. Takes a lot of practice to master. Lazy way for me is I just drop gear and slowly release clutch so that the gear sleeve(I believe its what its called. Its the part that the transmission connects to before the gear to sort of ensure that both spin at the same speed) balances everything.

*Heel-toe is harder than what the other guy does. Also heel-toe includes the need to brake while downshifting. Fuel consumed by this is almost insignificant.

Assalamualaikum and Good afternoon, i wanna ask something. Can anyone recommend me good cheap dash cam? i want to buy it forĀ  my iriz and for my sister saga, if anyone know any cheap but good dash cam or normal price(not too high not too low) but good quality or a little bit expensive with built in gps function please tell me..
*
QUOTE(LordDenning @ Oct 19 2015, 03:03 PM)
i also looking for dashcams. You can go to dashcam topic at FnF to see the reviews.
*
I have bought those China dash cam before. Online have good reviews but due to Malaysian weather the plastic cracked and the aluminum bent outwards I had to UHU gum the things back in place. After less than a year, the image started becoming very blury with plenty of noise in the picture. Decided to change mine to the Xiaomi Yi Cam which cost me RM199(RM249 then reduced with RM50 voucher on lazada). Added a suction mount and it is good to go. Its quite comparable to gopro but settings are controlled via the app. If you need a screen then SJ4000 could be a good choice as its around similar price range but picture quality not as good(but it comes with a lot of accessories so you dont need to buy them).

Dont have much videos but heres a sample:
EDIT: Please set video resolution to highest.

is that the Xiaomi action camera in your youtube link? The picture quality is good.  rclxms.gif  Do you mind taking picture of your car interior to see how you set it up?
*
Yes, its from the camera. Its just a suction mount and the camera. Imagine something like a dvr that is squarish and does not have a screen in the middle of the windscreen.
