Ehh?? Then why would they design something that would compromise other parts of the car... They starting to set earlier expected changing period for parts now? Like freakig iphone 2-3 years then problems start to occur..

I am not sure whether the alternator life span will be compromised or not. It is my first time hearing this concern.
BTW, does anyone here receive the EWP document from multi insurance company for the extended 7 years warranty? I have not yet received mine since last June.

3 USB port only add additional ~20 watt of load, won't affect alternator life span at all.

Using USB port when engine on means power supplied by alternator, so won't affect battery at all. Unless you use it during engine off for few hours till battery fully discharged and cannot start engine...

So don't worry too much

I was informed by Proton wecare customer service that it will be sent out on Sept. However, I've not yet received it yet.

To those whom were thinking of upgrading their car by adding turbo and is using CVT, heres what I suddenly recalled this morning. During the Q&A session for the talk with Proton CTO, someone did ask for CVT3 for Iriz but they said that CVT 3 is meant for forced induction cars like preve and suprima. Since from my knowledge, Iriz is using CVT 2 therefore you would have a high probability of having to change your gearbox when you upgrade.

So if for manual, does we need to change gearbox? and can we just add on turbo to iriz engine?

one of the tyre leaking faster than the rest. Tyre shop couldn't detect the leak. What could be the problem? Valve? RIM? (That would give me some excuse to change rim )

I am not sure which Getrag model it is using. I am gonna make assumptions that Getrag's naming where the first number refers to number of gears so I am assuming that Proton Iriz is using the 5MTT170 model which has a max torque of 170 Nm. 1.3 iriz has 130 Nm while 1.6 has 150 Nm.
