Very tempting, already booked iriz with dealer,  received chassis number & car reg. no. Haven't sign the loan yet. Wanted to drop all that to get this.......but there's a catch ->

1) Maximun 70% loan
2) Have to go JPJ for inspection (runner can do), however owner and buyer have to be present.
3) All payments have to made through bank, including the 30% down payment
4) Need to purchase 3 different types of insurance (arccording to bank)
5) Transaction can be done in 2 weeks (the fastest)
6) Higher interest rate 3.15+-

In the end....I think i will stick with the original plan  doh.gif

Plus... You get it brand new, which, in my head, is a lot better if you can afford it.

you mean SC can tighten our stock iriz brakes? please enlighten me, would like to do it. blush.gif

They can adjust our brake pedal according to our taste, u just need to ask the SA at the counter & remind back to the worker at the back about your complain.

Don't only rely on SA at the desk. This is Proton whistling.gif

It's better to go to the service centre now that you can still start the car rather than calling for tow truck later.
*
Now the engine light already gone but still sometimes hard to start, planning to go to service center next week.. i ask few of my close mechanic he said maybe there is a problem with crank shaft sensor rclxub.gif

Yup, I was facing the same issue. Just go to your nearest SC and ask them to fix it. It is a known problem, they'll know what to do. Have no issue since they resolved it 😊
*
How long it takes for them to fix it? do i need to leave my car or just wait?

My iriz alignment is off and I expect they will fix it for me on my 1st time service. But they said they wont fix it for me, they will only normal checking. They ask me to go other car service center instead. Is that normal?

Just hantam the rpm above 4K~5K and feel the roar, then they trailing behind dy, can't even catch up fast enough, hahahahahaha icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(adijb @ Oct 16 2015, 07:23 AM)
1.6 can do that, although the 1.6's torque is just slightly more than vios and city, though with cvt we can get instance max torque easily. A turbo one would put it to rest totally.. biggrin.gif
*
Oh man, I can just imagine a Turbo Iriz, and what's good is that it's in testing now, so probably can swap swap engine thumbup.gif

I doubt their SC got tyre service, small sc don't have enough complete equipment & for Iriz parts, still need to order

the main thing that ppl always address/critic bout iriz is cvt

sluggish la, noisy la, the worst cvt la

i know it actually vvt kicks in, but i changed to cvt to show that the so called 'crappy/sluggish' cvt can actually do well to increase the torque tongue.gif

edit: Tbh this cvt doesn't feel as sluggish as some other cvt cars I've tried out before, it does what it promises: a smooth ride, and power when needed.

You guys have a very misguided understanding of how VVT works sweat.gif ...VVT doesn't "kick-in". That torque surge at 4k RPM has nothing to do with VVT, it simply is just the characteristic of a DOHC Campro engine, with or without VVT.

i think maybe you guys feel the power after reach 4k rpm as Maximum Torque achieved so the car will start to accelerate going up hill..
