You have to shop around. FOC 5 years may not be true for some. Some dealers gives you 5 years FOC service at the expense of lower discount. 2 years FOC service, higher discount.

You have to do some work by calling the dealers.

I called two dealers already.
Both told me no more 5 years (or 100k km) free service, but they offer 2 years (or 40k km) free service instead.
One offer RM 6k discount on top of that free service, while the other one refuse to disclose the amount of discount that they can offer. I'm calling few more dealers.

Hi fellow ASX owners.

I am really not in luck. Lost one of my keyless remote. Left only the spare one.
Just called my dealer (MRR2), they charge RM1,400 for new remote and reprogramming for both new and spare remote.

I tried to Google. My remote part number is G8D-644M-KEY-E 2. While the model many found on the net is G8D-644M-KEY-N (cost around USD $80/unit).

Anyone had the same experience? Anyone knows if the model been selling on the net can be used with our car?

Please someone help me.

Both can use. But u need to buy a blank remote. Means not used before. Once the remote program into ur car it will be bond to your chassis number. It can never be program to another car (some fella in the states can reset it back to factory blank key thou)

Ebay. There are some stated reset to factory. Those can be purchase. I got a fren bought one usd99. Used. Stated reset to factory. Yup usable.

We inspira here in lowyat. Many modded to kos also. Most of them from halfcut that comes with a single key. So we source a lot of used key and send all the way to US to allow them to reset it to factory . (we cheapskate ma.. Dun wan pay for new tongue.gif)

My clarion also got same problem
