Hi fellow ASX owners.

I am really not in luck. Lost one of my keyless remote. Left only the spare one.
Just called my dealer (MRR2), they charge RM1,400 for new remote and reprogramming for both new and spare remote.

I tried to Google. My remote part number is G8D-644M-KEY-E 2. While the model many found on the net is G8D-644M-KEY-N (cost around USD $80/unit).

Anyone had the same experience? Anyone knows if the model been selling on the net can be used with our car?

Please someone help me.

Both can use. But u need to buy a blank remote. Means not used before. Once the remote program into ur car it will be bond to your chassis number. It can never be program to another car (some fella in the states can reset it back to factory blank key thou)
*
Really?? If used cannot program the remote? Omg just because there are so many used remote been selling on ebay I thought can use. Luckily didn't make any purchase yet. New one costs much higher.

Does anyone know where else can I get a new keyfob?

Ebay. There are some stated reset to factory. Those can be purchase. I got a fren bought one usd99. Used. Stated reset to factory. Yup usable.

We inspira here in lowyat. Many modded to kos also. Most of them from halfcut that comes with a single key. So we source a lot of used key and send all the way to US to allow them to reset it to factory . (we cheapskate ma.. Dun wan pay for new tongue.gif)

You mean you have a way to reset those used keyfob? Nice man! I'll try to get the cheapest keyfob in ebay.

By the way, how much does it cost for the resetting, and courier fee?

Get those reset one. No point sent all the way to US and reset for One key. The courier charges will kill u. We did that coz we one shot sent like 6 or 8 keys. That time. Btw. U can buy the one with panic button too. Can be activate within etacs. Yes it does work

I also found those with rear boot button. Will that work too?

So it is true that to reprogram need to use tool, cannot use the tekan Hazard button 6 kali method.
I guess I will buy the factory reset keyfob, and let you do the experiment for the sake of all our friends who face the same problem (maybe later, but pray you all will not)... SC charged RM1400 for one ney keyfob and reprogram..gilaaa ranting.gif vmad.gif

Bro, I went to SC to fix today. SC took out rear bumper and performed the seal inside there. I just tried once and no more weird smell. I will try few more times to test again later.

Guys, is the sound "tok tok" during car warm down after stop engine normal thing?
I think someone has mention before on this issue but I need to confirm.
Mine is 4WD Enhanced version btw. Thx.
*
it is normal. it is the sound of warm metal things mainly your exhaust pipe cooling down..
u know in primary school, things expand when they are hot, shrink when cool..

Mine not yet fixed lol.. lately jaga baby .. need to bring her around.. so not much revving... now start to complain Liao lol.. gathering who got problem and starting a grp of ppl to make official report or go report to tribunal lo..I. Just posted up in FBI and got around 7 ppl already ..
*
I went to MRR2 SC last month to replace my front sensor. While the foreman do the fixing, I did ask about the smoke smell problem..
They are aware about the complaint, and they said that if I want to repair it, they'll follow the repair procedure by official Mitsubishi Malaysia:
- take out the reverse camera and so some patching to the access hole with silicone.. but they said it still wont solve the problem..

the problem lies within the exhaust, because the tip is too short for ASX. They said one customer solved it by changing the exhaust tip with a longer one.
Better if the tip is curved-down shaped..

Obviously i dont want to spend from my own pocket for things caused by design problem, which should be under manufacturer responsibility..
For the time being, just less revving lol.. save fuel some more.. petrol very expensive nowadays.

I'm so surprised about this.. My asx is 6KM per litre...
Is there any problem with my car ?
*
It depends on how heavy your right foot. I travel everyday to work, morning evening traffic at MRR2.. 70km/day.. full tank can get 600-650km.. when i used 4wd lock, fc almost no difference.

If long distance, 120-140kmh is good speed. Can stretch more km.

Mine is 2016 enhanced 4wd. Standard no mod.

I am doing my 30k service as i post. I asked about the smoke fume fix. Said need to leave car 3 days. But he heard there is one dealer who can do for 3 hours only. But he dont know which dealer. Anyone knows about this?

I would like to share this service quotation for 40k..
This list has excluded all unnecessary items such as oil treatment and cleaner..

Total is RM 210 (labour) + RM 1006 (parts) = RM 1216 (without GST).. better save RM 200/month for service lor..
