Must buy this type and the inside filled with real soft down feathers of duck or goose. Some down jackets filled with synthetic materials inside or partially mixed with down feathers but claimed as down feather jacket. A real full down feathers jacket gives extremely high heat insulation properties and can keep you warm even in -30C.

wua no need so kua cheong la you all~ just a regular winter jacket / wind breaker + long sleeved t-shirt + thermal wear (if you need), long johns + jeans, and a woolen socks enough lo~ dont need to go for those rm1000 over wan~ trust me.

i survived with a very thin winter jacket that the university gave me + one of my own hoodie (quite thick with dunno how to explain. not really fur but (?) lol) and one long sleeved shirt (belonged to bf)
(when i went on 1 week vacation in seoul).. so its ok lah~

Added on August 17, 2010, 12:26 amand it was snowing at the time i went too .

oh ya very important thing is gloves and scarves.. gloves just get a good cashmere lining / leather outside will do the trick.. cashmere is very warm. for me i wore two gloves >__< one cashmere and one knitted woolen glove(bought from korea).. enough to keep your hands warm <3

scarves are important if .. i dunno.. you guys wanna go see mountains or something... not so sure about skiing because when i went skiing i went to the one in busan + my winter jacket could zip cover my neck all.. but when it gets really cold the important part to cover up is your neck...

bring vicks too! smile.gif

ya ^__^ i think a down jacket would be sufficient smile.gif bcos my bf just walked around in seoul with a tshirt and a windbreaker lol. i guess sports shoes also ok lah because after all we are on a budget lol. don't want to spend too much unnecessary cash (how often would you wear dr martens boots lol) also, you wont spend alot ALOT of time walking on ice surfaces la! the government does a pretty good job of cleaning and shovelling the snow hehe.. but be prepared to land on your butt at least once la if you decide to go for the cheaper sports shoe option tongue.gif

It shouldnt be full..do check if there are any holidays or festivals on the time of your visit....

Although do pick up basic korean before you go there.. So that it would be easier to converse with the motel owner.. Sometimes u wanna see the condition of the room before paying n stuff..
