If currency hovering below RM2.90, Even lotsa branded clothing and goods slightly cheaper in Korea bu not much. Electronics still expensive there and you ca get cheaper netbook/notebook in m'sia.
The cheaper than malaysia items probably the local food..Seaweeds for sure.it's >50% cheaper than M'sia!! Soju - only 1000won at loitte Mart. Nong Shim noodle - 2980won only. And their famous expensive Korean biscuits (The yellow box) I got the promotion pack of similar bicuit I got in KL for RM4/pack and I got it for 5 packs only 2990 won in lotte mart ![]() |

I reserved my comment about Insadong moe for westerners ad the price of souvenirs is more expensive than Namdaemun. nfact namdaemun having more souvenirs shops than insadong.
About the cosmesics, Lotsa them on every corners of MyeongDong. However after comparing the facial mask pricing..not much heaper than KL. In KL, Korean faial mask is ~ RM8/pc whereas in Myeondong those lusy band ~ 1000won & mor trendy brand like nature republic /Skin food ~ 3000won.. |

Nowadays a lot of accessories vendor in Malaysia are turning to Korean items. They're selling it for RM4 for earrings, hair accessories, etc, which you can find it at KL Sentral station. Here, based from this pic they're selling it for 1000 won (RM2.70). A little worth it, it's up to the buyer...
I'd rather buy the stuff you can hardly get in Malaysia, that's my rule of thumb of buying when you go travel. Slight price difference, don't care that much QUOTE(zstan @ Dec 22 2010, 01:48 PM) |

You can't realy get RM2.70 currently-lah but pray hard...Probably current rate ~ 2.85on a good side. Even by converting to USD & reconvert to won, the best still ~ 2.80

Slight price difference, don't care that much actually most of things, like what you said, can be bought in malaysia. oh yeah, those stuff at Watson's are pretty cheap as well compared to malaysia one. can go check it out also.
