guys..100% sure our ATM card like Maybank can withdraw cash from Korean ATM with a RM8 charge? wonder what is the rate..

so right now the conclusion is that its cheaper to change in Korea, do they take RINGGIT?

i am going on Tuesday.

EDIT: I just read the voucher book posted by a member here..banks in Korea charges a fee for changing money...

the last time i was in busan , i used to go to Shinhan Bank's global ATM to use my Maybank ATM card to withdraw money. i dont think they charge RM8.. u can just withdraw how much you want then the charges is just counted by the exchange rate.... but you HAVE TO MAKE SURE that you go to maybank and change your ATM card to international.. if not maybank will block your card then you'll have to get a new one (based on experience seriously)

Wait wait wait....what about the weather and color of trees in Seoul?
Do share why AA sucks. No on board entertainment ?

If you mean 1USD=1,080won then it is = RM2.88/1000won in Malaysia based on 1USD=RM3.11. Any commission charge ?

The official exchange rate (selling) is 1USD=1,117.70won as of today. (RM2.78/1000won)

From my research, taking AREX + MRT for Incheon airport transfer is the cheapest.

Inchoen(3500won)->Gimpo(1200won)->down town seoul station
Total 4,700won per person. But have to do two train transfers

Limo bus is around 10,000won per person. More expensive but with on the ground view of Seoul city and no need transfer.

Suitable for Air Asia traveler whose arrival is 9.15pm. After immigration clearance, should be after 10pm. If you are on shoe string travel budget, below link are information for sleeping in Incheon airport.

How long does it take if we use the train to get to seoul?...I think the airport limo takes about 70-90 minutes and since we can only leave the airport bout 10pm, it will be tough finding the accomodation in midnight in freezing temperatures.hehe hmm.gif

AREX train to GIMPO last call at 12am.
http://www.arex.or.kr/jsp/eng/time/time_ta..._cd=00&x=27&y=6

For my hotel...I hv to switch MRT twice. sigh.

1st after GIMPO, I hv to board MRT line 9 (But most guide said line 5 but how come no guidance to line 9!!)..From Line 9 at Gimpo..kena stop at Dongjak & switch to line 4 b4 reaching my destination at Hoeyon station...

Very troublesome but this way..easier for me to walk to my hotel compare to taking bus..You really dunno where they gonna drop you. Unless u know where is the dropping point, OK-lah

Another better way is taking the express train (Not MRT) direct to Seoul station....That station just 1 station b4 my hotell...probably good idea too hmm.gif

Wow..This is the 1st time you really done an extensive research biggrin.gif Last year you 100% rely on travel agent for your Taiwan trip shocking.gif thumbup.gif

Tnx..very useful tool. Bookmarked liao smile.gif

BTW, after checking, Although the nearest but required 3 switching doh.gif Gimpo>Singgil>Seoul Whereas on line 9 only 2 Gimpo>Dongjak wor.. sad.gif

Got pros & cons also without travel agent although I hate them haha...

Wth travel agent you no need to worry on:

1) Waiting time for MRT & buses
2) Pre-travelo research
3) Lost & can't communicate wth locals..esp in Korea
4) No one explaining to you the significant of the attractions you visited
