Is there any supposed ergonomic benefits to cherry profile? Maybe I'm missing out on something

Cherry profile always better to type on. Lowered caps make it easier to type and also much more ergonomically easier to control the striking angle.
Exception for that is SA profile because the profile is high on a consistent basis. And pretty. And thick.

I personally think there are ergonomic benefits. Cherry profile is lowered, making it easier for you to "wrap" your fingers onto the keycaps and type quicker.
But lower doesn't always mean better. Laptop chiclet keys / scissor switches make for a jarring typing experience.
And I personally dislike the feel of SA profile; it might be high on a consistent basis but nevertheless it's still too high. I only buy SA keycaps for display cos they're really pretty.
Thing about MKBs is that so many features are down to personal preference, ask 1 question get 3 different answers. That's why arguments happen all the time
