QUOTE(mewanpanda @ Mar 18 2017, 12:57 AM) Wow, so fast. Is it City Rewards World MasterCard? too expensive the AF. The AF can call to waive but subject approval, this is only happening after a year, if no waive, can process to cancel. Can u pls give me the phone number of the Citi Bank person that called u? Scared will kena fraud/scam case, So want to re-confirm the tel number 1st. Btw,I just applied the City Simplicity CC through ringgitplus. Hopefully, they approve this cc easily as this is just basic cc 1. Will cancel it once i managed to get the lenovo tablet. The number that I received the call is from call centre I guess (03-2383 7100) Have you go through T&C and confirm whether Citi Simplicity CC is entitled for the free gift ?? |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Mar 19 2017, 08:13 PM) Just checking - your supplementary card doesn't share the same statement as you? For mine, all my supps are under my statement, so I just pay my principal. Is this only applicable for Citibank Credit card ?Because I do have supp card with other bank (same statement) and I make payment to Supp Card Account |

My Citibank credit card application has been rejected.
Most likely being rejected due to having BT / Instalment is too high ?? Total cards that I holding now is about 21 (including 3 supps cards). Would like to check, does it effected if holding multiple credit cards from a bank ?? |

QUOTE(moonsatelite @ Mar 27 2017, 09:14 PM) Erm........ for most of your cards, is your spending near your credit limit. Also, the bank might reject you for your Balance transfer and installment as it makes you look very risky and not being able to pay back. Thanks for your sharing about CTOS system.21 card, fuyoh, RESPECT. But actually having lots of cards won't get your rejected because CTOS follows U.S system where your credit limit pool increases with the more cards you have. As according to the U.S system, your credit score will drop if you cancel cards because your credit limit pool decreases. Not really near credit limit, all the cards that I spend are not even reach 20% of total credit limit, some card just leave it aside for other purpose. Currently I just managed to cancel cards and reduced the credit limit. Ya, high possibility due to Balance transfer / Instalment plan. Anyone successful appeal and get approved ? |

Just sharing based on my friend experienced
My friend recently apply additional card (Citibank Reward) as he is holding Citibank clear card with 6k credit limit since 4 years ago The officer called and said that he unable to get Citi reward card even fulfill income requirement due to current CL only 6k while Citi reward minimum CL is 15k, it cannot assign such a high credit limit from 6k to 15k, and it need to be step by step, thus the application is unsuccessful. Is anyone has this kind of experience before ?? First time heard about this rejection. |

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 5 2017, 09:26 PM) But 4 years ago salary should be lower than the current drawing salary. Most likely 3 months payslip is provided only Seems like not making sense. Did you friend provide other supporting documents; EPF and EA form apart from recent payslip? Ya, not make sense mentioned by CS |

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 5 2017, 10:02 PM) I know they have min CL for certain card. But my point is with his current salary, shouldn't he may be qualified for that card with min CL of RM 15k. At the end of the day, both cards are sharing the same CL of RM 15k. QUOTE(fly126 @ Apr 5 2017, 10:08 PM) Yup, CS told him need to apply for CL increase first then only can apply for Citi Reward card but is in another 6 months after CL increased This is only applicable for existing customer right, I think no impact for new application ? |

QUOTE(shiroikun @ Jun 13 2017, 05:29 AM) Has been using citibank cards for about 10 years, I got the waiver every year, the tricks is u need to let citibank earn a little $ which i always do a BT just 1 or 2 months before the card anniversary, ask for waiver before the month of fee charge to your card, and settle the BT in full. (if u have more than 1 card, do BT for 1 card enough) End up u just pay a few dollars of interest. This always works for me, i just got my waiver last week for my world rewards card and visa signature. Citibank giving me very high CL, I just wanna keep it as emergency. For BT, Citi does offer for 1 or 2 months ?? Or take 6 months but make it early settlement ?? |
