QUOTE(xein @ Aug 28 2015, 11:00 AM) I'm thinking of getting mr. Masking sol r. Any opinions and safety precautions. Thank you. i guess nothing, bought mine tried it and really hard to use if you dun have a steady painter hands, the liquid viscosity also very hard to achieve your masking purposes. for me i end up same old micro masking. the old bottle just left there, after a few disaster of mix method for micro mask and liquid mask pretty much give up. remember, this require extreme painter skill set and really hard to dry when it gets thick, most of the time i tried the masking didnt gets dried even after hour of waiting and end up smudging my parts and hard to remove when these liquid get thin... still, might not be as bad, purely my own experience because i have low skill set on painting...

QUOTE(heally82 @ Aug 28 2015, 10:51 AM) always the garage kit option will have these, with revive series on goin, bandai most likely release common use weapon series... so expect to mix match iron-blooded orphan series weapon la... general purpose thinner (GP thinner), mineral spirit, lacquer thinner all can do the same cleaning job but difference is on how strong it is. normally for cleaning kit parts i would recommend lacquer thinner coz less corrosive on the plastic, other options are strictly for cleaning other stuff totally agreed, went there a few times during my working hours also can see them open... and thought closed them forever... its for cleaning brush etc, thanks for your reply

having problem with my airbrush, not sure if it's stucked or the paint incompatible.
Trying to use Gaia note Clear Black on Sparmax 0.3D airbrush, the paint have difficulty coming out despite using mr.color thinner, when it comes out clear black become light grey, i have no idea what is happening.
I then swap the paint out with thinner and the thinner comes out, changed to water water comes out, i haven't tried mr.hobby acrylic which had no problem previously but i'm wondering is my airbrush stucked or is the paint incompatible? like particle too thick for the brush?
I bought a couple of Gaia notes paints, would be a waste if it's incompatible. also i notice Gaia note paints dry up too fast for brush use.

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Aug 29 2015, 06:42 PM) Gaia Clear Black 5, Mr.Hobby Levelling Thinner 10. It felt like the paint couldn't come out at all, when 1st come out like burst, spray on surface looks like rough textured light grey, tuned pressure between 10-20psi, then changed it out not add thinner, same thing, then i just fill the rest with cleaning thinner which sprayed well on it's own, same thing, i'm not sure if it's the Gaia note particle too big or what. never had such problem with mr.Hobby acrylic. the only other Gaia i have used is their Gold, using brush & thinner, very fast dry up need to be very quick to get smooth glossy look. i though oil based suppose to dry slower. but no idea what's going on with my airbrush. Try mix the paint with another transparent container, mix until you get the consistency of milk. General rule of thumb would be 1:1 for mr hobby but Gaia never try so mix and get a feel for you own until you think it's similar to milk consistency. Based on you explanation really sounded like too thick.
