QUOTE(Terbulance @ Aug 5 2015, 02:05 PM) You did panel lining already? What pen do you use or how do you do it? Looks so fine and tidy. I use 0.05 Artliner black pen and it is all over the place combination of zippo, q tip (cotton but), tamiya enamel black and really thin and tiny brush should get you goingzippo can get even from popular book shop, q tip normal pharmacy even giant also got, the remaining 2 its best to get from hobby shop as for how to panel lining there are plenty of videos from youtube teach you how to do it. some sifu here use alternatives need their consult for me above suffice... |

QUOTE(haruglory10 @ Aug 5 2015, 03:32 PM) Yeap that's true. Watch a couple tutorial from u-tube. am still learning the way of Gunpla Try pick up reverse wash technique, won't regret it...Been assembling things for a month now. From my exp in gunpla, buy wave file and a single blade nipper ( from my understanding god hand and mss41 are among single blade nipper) Save you lots of time and sanding up to 1500 grade, I discover this the real hard way... |

worth it or our frens at custom will drink all my shipping budget up? also planning to buy a few advance mia gundam for my 3 year old kid that screw up my mp01 optimus prime, wanna ask whether mia is reliable for my kid? cz at mandarake its so cheap i can buy 2 or 3 box opened mia for him. |

QUOTE(chyll2 @ Aug 5 2015, 05:50 PM) man, that is depressing. I've never joined any of this lucky card promotion by Bandai since the officially distributed products are overpriced. All of my gunpla are always gray import. i also buy most of my kits direct japan, mandarake sell rg for only rm50QUOTE(cacin @ Aug 5 2015, 06:02 PM) Items above rm500 including shipping will be taxed. So, you should consider it as a portion of the total costs. amiami post for 15400yen rough conversion is rm481...Which PG is below RM500 not inclusive of shipping? |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Aug 5 2015, 06:29 PM) Hehe what ur doin is also one of the reason I use all my finished kits similar color theme dark color, so in future I can do what u r doin, kit bash mix match!QUOTE(cacin @ Aug 5 2015, 06:46 PM) at hlj, gp01/FB PG with EMS shipping is RM 700. So, plus tax (10%), will be around RM770? Not sure if kena GST. My estimation include credit card charge gst and shippin should be around rm650, but I heard lots of cases they simply hold them until you pay them kopi. That is before gst and my fren ordered a lot but size around 2pg box. But, that is an extreme one la, considering the box is quite big/heavy. Strike PG would have cost around rm450 ish including EMS shipping. So, might be safe from tax. I would assume most PG would be around this size of box. So, really need to look at the shipping cost + tax to decide whether it's worth it or not. So now I know japan is famous for its super secure packaging scare if I order will be very big for pg and attract the wolves. That's y I wanna know recent pg purchase from japan still remain same culture at kastam side. QUOTE(Nawar @ Aug 5 2015, 09:04 PM) Heard a few cases occurred on bootlegs none from bandai yet. Just make sure it's done swiftly shud be ok, can try top coat it 1st then panel line it and put another top coat also can. |

QUOTE(Nawar @ Aug 5 2015, 09:40 PM) it happens on both, bandai or other brands if not painted/coated 1st... maybe doing it fast or on parts thats not so thin ok... but how fast can you do it.. hv to wait abit b4 start cleaning up with cotton bud.. if not the bud will suck out while paint still wet.. i tend not to press hard on the area that wanna remain painted, i start clean off unwanted to paint area then slowly goes up to touch up near the lines.but for enamel that mix with zippo dries up rather fast (within seconds) so wont be wet on my case... in fact they dries up so fast usually ends up slight weathering effect on white part like on my last rg exia. (reason most likely i spray matt white black enamel eats through the uneven surfaces) QUOTE(SoulRex @ Aug 6 2015, 02:16 AM) wave is the brand, i use model ht-281 for the finishing filing heard they also came out ht-282 for the coarse filing.i bought it on hlj but now they sold already, cost me around rm40 something include shipping china taobao also got but slightly higher price. so try wait n look for it on japan web, try bundle order with order gunpla then overall you will get a good bargain overall. bare in mind there are learning curve for this file since it is horizontal direction filing, for me took me 2 hg kits to get use to it. |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Aug 6 2015, 11:20 AM) I try the buffer, hell lot of rubbing needed to get a nice shiny surface can try tamiya polishing compound, this was intended for painted surface but it will help you achieve glossy finish.giving up soon to use semi gloss but since at this stage is quite hard, can try buy 1 bottle of floorcare, filled with a small bowl and start dunking part u want glossy one and polish it after dry. only downside is, a bit of finger print magnet and easily scratch if not handled carefully. then i have to salute that china guy, must have superman fingers to get wat he has achieved... |

just paid my pre-ordered rg astray for another rm30 more than normal rm80 just to get it on estimated next week.
so how you guys want to know bout it unbox pics or videos? unsure bout this kit but just straight cut and build should take me around 2 to 3 hours for a rg kit. if you guys wants it fast may be next week i got it spend some sleepless nights to let you guys know more bout this rg (cz i hav 2 babies to take care before 12am) actually wanna plan to combine orders to share shipping cost but seemed like amiami system wont allow me to, so this time cant save might as well speed it up to share up to date reviews to all taiko here. wanna ask sifu who ordered from amiami the trick on combine shipment, so far i only place order in lump to share shippin cost how to combine orders that r separately placed? |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Aug 10 2015, 02:09 PM) i wish i can paint not sure whether im saying this right but last time i do saw some chinese guy posted a video showing how to reshape your own effects parts by using transparent runner and candlesbtw, any idea how to get those funnels flying other than getting that pricey effect parts? am thinking of using figma stand but i wonder if it will fit nicely, maybe need to give it some mod you can try examine on your own 1st to get some ideas, these transparent runners will get soft exposing them on top of the candles and you start reshaping them. but for my part mostly bending only. later you can carve your way on to these funnels, for the shinning portion will require sanding and polishing to bring the transparency back of course can match with the ori one but still can reuse runners and learn new stuff, why not? but the video i saw was diy for 502 glue tip cap, but he did mention and showed a few diy effect parts... |

QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Aug 14 2015, 09:16 AM) In a general sense, there's no need to rush and jump in the bandwagon to be the first. totally agreed, got a rush of blood while pre-ordering and got it 1st hand but wears off quickly as i thinking of how to customize this kit.Unless for specific reasons, like joining GBWC or commissioning purpose. same goes with my tryon and hyaku shiki 2.0 theres no rush to get them as these normal new release will have plenty available still why no goodies for rg astray? at least i got game card for tryon! waste of effort for being 1st batch owner... |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Aug 14 2015, 06:13 PM) same thoughts, unlike figures which rape my wallet, gunpla at least almost always have stock in hand unless they cancel production or it's been p-bandai That's why most of my 90's kits can't get anymore, p bandai doesn't get my attention if it's just color and minor customizations. QUOTE(cacin @ Aug 14 2015, 06:47 PM) Agree. It's just that some pre-order are cheaper than normal price. Most of my kit direct from japan so regardless 1batch or not still same price. Some hg even cheaper at mandarake if you don't mind the minor box imperfections.Example: gwing hyaku shiki 2.0 preorder is rm210. normal price once item arrived is 240. |

QUOTE(advocado @ Aug 17 2015, 10:13 PM) my paint doesn't partially dry up before on kit, the surface is quite even, just you know there's those airbrush particle pattern when you airbrush which is what you normally want, but future floor needs very smooth surface or else it won't form a glossy coat no matter how thick i apply which i can't figure out the reason, it ends up like semi gloss, the future floor won't form a smooth finish. for the ultimate mirror like glossiness you cant lazy on skipping the steps, what i have done and found out that the crucial is the sanding and polishing every layer is sprayed, for example:sanding on the parts surface at least until 1000 or 1500 then priming layer after primed it have to sand at least until 2000 or 2500 then the desired glossy color layer after color layer polish it with tamiya polish (the grade of polisher coarse, fine and finish will soley depends on your strength you put on polishing) after all above you should have rather glossy surface, another top coat either lacquer, acrylic floor finish or even the taiwan mgm top coat is finally apply. from my exp lacquer type you will need to put at least 3 coatings and polish it to get final glossiness, floor finish you might skip the polishing as it is extremely waterly. as for mgm top coat is very tough but even after applied basically just spray it and your done. so for floor finish i think for your case at lease slight polish your color layer and put at least 3 layer of thin floor finish should get the job done (must be thin coz you can get it thick anyway, just to damn waterly) |
