Yea Ive seen this on another forum. Design looks simple but behold, the camera will blow any other phones on the market now. From the mobile review, the pictures does look nice and comparable with digital cameras.
I say thumbs up for this model.  |

apparently the camera sensor here is gonna be used in the upcoming SE sofia , otherwise known as the k850i, the k800i's sucessor...

the night pics are extreamly great, a lot of manual settings, you could even adjusting the camera ISO, even the sharp 903sh has to stand aside
the only flaws for the imobile 902sh is, it doesn't have chinese, means, you can't read and can't write another thing is i dun like its phone design, looks like big potato |

the thing i am worry is
the re-sell value is low i dun wan to buy at 1.4k, and sell again after few months at a very low price seeing tat i-mobile is not as popular among others brand like nokia, SE, motorola, etc, i would stay away from it. p/s: unless i could get a used one at a dirt cheap price |

it seems like it is clashing wif what kelvin wrote QUOTE Body The overall body is made of plastic. So it doesn't feel as nice and expensive as the k800i. But all the parts are very firmly held together. No squeaks. Screen The actual screen is actually lower than the transparent panel. So its slightly sunken. It is bright. Although its the same resolution (320x240) as k800i, the screen of k800i looks nicer to me. You can't really tell the different between 16 million and 262k colors. Keypad The keys are quite firm. So you need to press a bit harder. Menu Its kinda simple, and not as deep at SE menu. Reminds me of LG phones (P7200). It is not as responsive either. About the same speed as P7200 or k700i. You cannot select multiple items in the data folder (maybe I haven't find out how). So if you wanna move pictures, or send them via BT, you need to do it one-by-one. Kinda stupid I would say. SMS is quite OK I would say, though not as efficient as nokia n SE. The T9 is very slow. It cannot catch up with my typing. But if you turn off the T9 (they called it Smart ABC), it becomes very fast. Speaker Ringtone, mp3 is very very loud. No distortion like the k800i. QUOTE Indoor pics under flourescent light. Auto white balance gives a yellow/orange tint. |

actually someone also posted comparison pics with a ixus750 iirc.
basically daylight shots the i-mobile loses out. and apparently the video also quite blocky looking, even tho can record 640x480. |

all depends on the cameraman. put a very nice camera like 902 with a lousy cameraman = lousy results.

you tried it before? =) not really slow until you can't live with it la, something like motorola sms speed, nothing like nokia/SE sms speed

haha, i think compared to the motorola c series gua, i dunno hehe... let's just say the lag is somewhere like 0.5-1.0 sec per letter typed. For SE W800 (which i'm using), the letters appear instantaneously. So it really seems like a direct downgrade in the sms department haha. But camera super cun looo...very fast, 1 sec saving time, almost instantaneous. The startup sound sounded quite chiplak la (kinda makes you lose confidence in its quality initially), but i haven't tested the speaker quality. From the chiplak sound i heard, it was quite loud and clear. I've read in other forums saying that the sound quality is quite good.
Actually the main con about this phone is the sms as stated in other forums and by other users. If anyone could get over with the sms thingie, then this phone is for him/her. The menu surfing speed is fast and unlike the sms dictionary speed, so dun worry. Everything else is almost perfect loo. from the pic quality i see on the pre-launched product, the k850 lost to 902 loo. Is the k850 using ccd sensor? The k850 applies some heavy noise-removal while the 902 doesn't

aiyah relax on the sensor issue for now.
its still at least 3-4 months before K850 is launched. they can always improve and change the sensor. those pics you see are taken using prototype and not final version, so anything can happen. |

even DSLRs can use CMOS sensor. basically its the quality of the sensor thats used which is more important. |

hi, yes i do post in mml and hardwarezone.
just try and experiment to see what settings are best. i usually put EV -0.3 for day shots, and 0.0 for nights. also, here's how to take the covers apart for cleaning, bcos dust gets onto the lcd screen. 1. Unscrew the 4 screws.  2. run your fingernail or a blunt object along the side between the front cover and the body of the phone, starting from the bottom upwards to the screen. the front cover is clipped in at the top of the phone, so gently but firmly pry it open.  3. voila! its out! proceed to clean off dust.  |

camera wise, the n73 definitely loses out to the imobile. Other functions the n73 is better as it is a smart phone. The sms on the imobile is ok, cannot add words. The SmartABC system is similar to SE t9, can use joystick to select words. The sms speed is something like the old SE t610/t630. The speaker is loud and clear, probably the one of best i've heard. The phone also supports java, but due to the slow speed, it will not be able to support big and graphics intensive java apps. Java apps that runs on samsung phones should work. The imobile is something like a k750i/w800i with a qvga screen and an excellent camera.

I tested before and the sound from it's speaker is clearer then Sony Ericsson speaker. Joystick I found it harder to use compare with W800. Vibration is a yes. |

yes, can turn off the date and time, the operator logo. under enough light, it will be able to capture fast moving objets without blur.

1) Is the louderspeaker (it“s not the earphone) stereo? 2) What are the average bit rates of the video (VGA - 640x480) in the following configurations: low, average and high? 3) How many minutes of video (options: VGA, quality: high) can I record on a 1Gb microsd card? 4) Is the audio captured on videos stereo? 5) Can the flash be configured as "strobe" (in order to avoid red eyes? 6) In order to use the FM radio, do I need to plug-in the headset? 7) Is the "T9 input text" available in other language other English? Especificaly Portuguese Brazillian? 8) Are there different themes to choose from? 9) While recording a video, is there an option to PAUSE a video, and so resuming it from a different angle? If I were you, I'd Google it up myself. If can't find. And what I can say is don't expect much for the video even it's high quality. It's not even par with DVD quality as claimed. If your choice now. I have not received my imobile 902 yet, but talking with a friend of mine, he told me the new firmware of it HAS the REWIND function. You only need to mantain the joystick pressed to left. I“ll confirm it, as soon as I get mine on hands.

The price that I paid on ebay was US$ 312,00 (shipping included, duty not).

How can I disable the auto turn-off fuction of the screen? (after about 10 seconds, the lcd goess off completely and I need to press the right key to get it back)

im waiting for the next gen 902 model, look at the physical design then buy! this phone is really great, especially the 1100mAH battery but the design looks too much like sony K and T series and the buttons are too small and close to each other
