Too bad I din find out the price drop to 1299 already. Just bought a k790. I'm gonna wait till the price drops when k850 comes out then upgrade to this. The pics are great.

How is the speed by the way. Browsing multimedia and taking pictures(startup, shutter lag, focus lag, saving).

I dun think k790i got sell in malaysia. I bought it second hand from luv4live . Waiting for it to arrive on Monday. Anyone wants it? Maybe can sell off now and get 902.

What is the maximum memory card capacity supported by this phone?
Can support 1GB and 2GB microSD cards?

I heard it serves as a good video player too, so was wondering if can support 2GB since now 2GB microSD under 90 already.

The phone is great. Saving a pic took less than a second in optimum light conditions and quality set at normal. At the highest settings, it took about a second to save.

The phone es extremely light. Feels like plastic as I've gotten used to the K790. It is much shorter and abit slimmer. Fit Now I don't have that darn bulge in my pocket anymore. I can't even feel the phone.

Picture quality is great and of course 5 mpix gives crystal clear pics. The video is simply brilliant. Too bad I'm using dail up so I can't upload. The amount of setting is overwhelming for an amateur like me. I've gotta try the night shots though.

Everything seems fast to me. Just as fast as the K790. I dunno bout game, dun care also since I don't play games.

The keypad and joystick is abit hard, something like Nokia 3310. Definately not as nice as K790/800 but the Smart ABC (works like T9, better IMO) is great. I dunno what some reviews mean by slow. I type slowly so maybe I just din noticed.

Sound is great. Extremely loud, I just disturbed everyone in the library cause i was thinkering with the settings. Music and video plays back smoothly.

However this phone loses out to k790 in terms or class. It looks cheap and really cheap. It also lacks shortcut button(well the shortcut buttons are intergrated with the number pad). And lastly it had more levels of menus which is a bit irritating if you're gonna be looking for one specific file to bluetooth to someone.

But in the end I'm happier with this so I'm letting go of my beautiful k790i. Ouch no more EDGE for me.

The macro shots from this phone is awsome too. Can focus at distances about closer than K790 can.

Btw. According to the manual, I can use this phone as a webcam. But the option doesn't appear when I connect it to the computer.

Another thing is I can set MP3's as my ring tone and alarm tone and whatever tone. I remember reading one review that said it can't.

Where do I get a silicone protector for this phone? Any other model out there will fit this phone?

I still can't get the PC cam thingy to work. I got the drivers already but all in Thai and broken english. I dun understand anything. I hopes this works, then can save money.

I've read that website and I can only conclude that he either got a faulty I 902 or he is too damn fussy and exaggerated his story abit.

For me there isn't much difference between the brightness on the phone screen and my lappy's screen. I guess it is because they both display the same color values in a similar way. Your PC screen might be too dark.

I find the the EV set to 0 is most cases is perfect. The ISO is by far the most important setting. Try switching between 50, 100 and 200 and you'll see a big difference. Choose the one that you like best. Never set it to auto. The white balance and AE metering is important too. I found that center weighted in the best in most cases unless you are shooting a very large landscape or you have tricky lighting, like grills, or objects that vary sharply in contrast in your frame. For daylight shots, use Cloudy white balance to the the most natural shots. If you are taking indoor pictures where there is yellow lighting, set white balance to either tungsten or flourescent depending on how yellow it is.

Using nightmode for nightshot will give you the best picture quality but the problem in the 4 second exposure. To over come this. Set the mode to normal. Then choose ISO 200, white balance Auto, EV +1. What you get is a shorter exposure and a more noisy pic. So download and use Neat Image to take care of the noise.

Haha. I sold off my K790 for this phone. Taking simple point and shoot night shots was easier with the K790i. However, using the setting I told you earlier, you would get a picture better than K790i. If you are taking a shot in a place with lights (street lamp, windows, neon light ect) setting it to ISO 100 will reduce the noise greatly and you'd still get a good shot. I'm looking for a tripod too, but come on la, don't tell me every single shot you take at night you're gonna use the night mode and whip out your tripod.

Added on January 1, 2008, 11:34 amFrom your EXIF data, your white balance(flourescent would be best I think) setting is wrong and you should set the ISO to 100 (it was 50) and metering to center weighted for a brighter picture.

Focus mode is to choose between macro focus for close up, auto focus for near to mid range subjects and infinity for subjects very far away and landscapes.

AE metering to to set how the auto exposure system calculates the best value.
Spot to to set the exposure for the best exposure on one tiny spot in the centre
Centre Weighted is to set the exposure for the subject in the centre of the focus box.
Matrix is a special algorithm to calculate the best balance exposure for the phone frame. Good for landscapre or when there are many different object in the frame. The algorithm in the this phone is very good.

Flicker control to to adjust the camera's shutter and image processor to eliminate flicker. Set the flicker value to that of the subject you wanna take. If sunlit object, wither will work as sunlight has flicker of virtually 0hz. For most monitors and light bulb lited subject, set it to 60hz i think, cause the is the frequency of our AC current supply.

Haiz my phone spoil dy la. Very sad. Now selling off all the accessories and the spoilt phone. Check out my trade. You can use it as spare part or as extra stuff, 2 chargers, two battery etc.

100 sms is a myth. My phone had at least 200 over sms.

TV out is very simple to use. When viewing pictures, video or playing songs, just plug in the V out cable and press the shutter button.

I've got a Sony digicam now and comparing the photos, they are as great as my sony digicam except the res is maxed at 5mp while my digicam goes up to 7 mp.
