Did you get a black and white stated your AF will be waived for another 3 extra year? My case was they promise via words, but didn't keep it. The promised to waive 3 year for me. Yes, the first year it was waived, but the second year they charged me. Excuse is they don't know there is such offer for 3 year AF waiver in my account. Basically there is no consistency la!
** how I solved it? I actually write down the name of the person who offer me waiver one year ago. Call here and there , write in so many letter, then only they admit is their mistake and waive for me. It is too hassle. Hence no more UOB for me unless really good offer

I was worrying too as CS told me waiver for another 2 years when calling to cancel my One Card. After that, I agreed to keep and use it.

Need to take note that don't use the card and call again if the anniversary for the card is soon...

Noted with thanks for sharing above case.

How do you confirm you have 2 years free AF? Phoned the customer service?

I just started using and I have no idea my AFZAN is being waived for 1 year or 2 years, haven't called up the CS yet. Must be careful on the AF, rm168 for one plat is not cheap.

Asked the bank pretty lady when I collect my card from the branch...

Yeah.. This is the tactic.. Don use their card if u know ur AF is approaching.. My case, retention dept sure call after 1 week.. Or I will receive SMS mentioned that if I'm interested to hold the card, just reply the SMS n they will call me back..

There is no black and white for my case. I didn't request for that though. I plan to call again for the coming anniversary year to request for a waiver. Meanwhile, if it happens that I need to call cs, I can check with them if the waivers for another 3 years are stated in their system.

Anyone knows if there's any in call recording free app? Wondering if it's easier just to send email complaint and attach the audio recording as evidence.

not necessary. just jot down the time and date of call and name of the staff. the bank would have the recording.

tip: when negotiate, don't talk soft with them. previously they insisted to charge me but i was firm in requesting for waiver. she said need to escalate this and ask the retention team to talk to me. i told her don't waste time and just waive off the af. don't wait until i have decided to cancel the card only you guys want to offer the af waiver. they didn't call me back and i got my af waived.

FYI , the retention department call me to offer waiver for first year. Second year I used the same trick again, they cancel it off immediately. So it doesn't work always.

To be fair, it is clearly stated that the card has an annual fee. To waive or not is their prerogative.
