UOBM CREDIT AND/OR DEBIT CARD (“CARD”)
Eligibility
1. United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (271809-K) (“UOBM”) 10% Gurney Plaza Cash Back Campaign
(“Campaign”) is open to all eligible principal UOBM Credit and/or Debit Cardmembers (“Cardmembers”)
whose account(s) are current, valid, subsisting and in good credit standing as may be determined by
UOBM at its sole and absolute discretion.
2. This Campaign is only applicable to UOBM Credit and/or Debit Card issued in Malaysia.
3. The following shall not be eligible for the Campaign:-
a. All UOBM Corporate, Purchasing and Private Label Cardmembers;
b. Cardmembers whose account(s) are terminated, suspended or cancelled within the Campaign
Period;
c. Any accounts held with UOBM that are delinquent or unsatisfactorily conducted as determined
by UOBM at its sole and absolute discretion; and
d. Persons who are or become insane, deceased, adjudicated bankrupt or have legal proceedings of
any nature instituted against them.
Campaign Period
4. The Campaign period commences on 1
st October 2015 to 30
th November 2015 (both dates inclusive)
(“Campaign Period”), unless otherwise notified.
Campaign Mechanics
5. Eligible Spend shall, for the purpose of this Campaign, mean any spend made during the Campaign Period
at Gurney Plaza, Penang under the following Merchant Category Codes (“MCC”) as per UOBM’s system
(“Qualifying Outlets”):-

6. All payments must be made using the UOBM Credit and/or Debit Card for such spend to qualify as Eligible
Spend under this Campaign.
7. The supplementary Cardmembers’ Eligible Spend will be combined with the principal Cardmembers’
Eligible Spend during this Campaign in determining whether the principal Cardmember satisfies the
Qualification Criteria (as defined in clause 10 below). For the avoidance of doubt, only the principal
Cardmember will be entitled to the Cash Back.
8. The Eligible Spend made during the Campaign Period must be captured by the credit card system
maintained by UOBM in order to be eligible for participation in the Campaign.
9. Non-Eligible Spend shall include;
a. Cash Advance;
b. Balance Transfer;
c. Flexi-Credit Plans;
d. Easi Payment Plan purchases;
e. Finance Charges;
f. Late Charges;
g. Annual Fees;
h. Split and/or void transactions;
i. Reversals or refunds;
j. Government Service Tax; and
k. Such other transactions as UOBM may determine.
The above mentioned Non-Eligible Spend shall not qualify for the Campaign.
10. Cardmembers who meets the Eligible Spend using their UOBM Credit and/or Debit Card in the
participating month more particularly set out in Table A below (“Participating Month”) during the
Campaign Period (“Qualification Criteria”) shall be entitled to receive 10% cash back on the Eligible Spend
(“Cash Back”) for the Participating Month. The maximum Cash Back given out for each Participating
Month throughout the Campaign Period is RM8,000 on a first-come, first-served basis, based on UOBM’s
transaction records. UOBM does not have any obligation to inform any Cardmember should the Cash
Back reach the maximum payout limit for any of the Participating Month.

11. The maximum Cash Back to be awarded to each Cardmember is capped at RM25 for each Participating
Month.
12. The Cash Back will be credited into the Cardmember’s UOBM Credit and/or Debit Card Account(s) within
four (4) weeks from the end of the Participating Month in which the Cash Back is awarded to the
Cardmembers who satisfy the Qualification Criteria. The Cash Back will be reflected in the monthly
Statement of Account that follows after the date of the crediting of Cash Back.
13. At the time of awarding the Cash Back, the Cardmember’s Credit and/or Debit Card Account(s) must be
current, valid, subsisting and in good credit standing as may be determined by UOBM at its sole and
absolute discretion and not in breach of any of the terms and conditions contained in the UOB
Visa/MasterCard Cardmember Agreement (“Cardmember Agreement”) and the UOB Debit MasterCard
Terms and Conditions.
14. Any props, accessories or equipment featured together with the Cash Back in all printed materials,
website or UOBM branches are for decorative purposes only and shall not form part of the Cash Back.
15. UOBM reserves the right:
(a) To forfeit the Cash Back in the event where there is a reversal of Eligible Spend transaction entry at the
Qualifying Outlets or termination of the Cardmembers’ UOBM Credit and/or Debit Card prior to the
Cash Back being credited into the Cardmembers’ Credit and/or Debit Card Account(s) or noncompliance
or breach of these terms and conditions or the terms and conditions in the Cardmember
Agreement and the UOB Debit MasterCard Terms and Conditions with prior notice without assigning
any reason;
(b) To substitute the Cash Back with any product of similar or lower value with prior notice;
© To withdraw, suspend, extend or terminate earlier the Campaign prior to the expiry of the Campaign
Period in whole or in part, at anytime with prior notice at its absolute discretion.
16. The Cash Back awarded is non-transferable to any other party or parties other than the Cardmembers and
not exchangeable for other goods.
UOBM General Terms and Conditions
17. By participating in this Campaign, the Cardmembers agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, the
terms and conditions in the Cardmember Agreement and/or the UOB Debit MasterCard Terms and
Conditions.
18. UOBM shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in transmission of sales transactions by Visa
International Incorporated, MasterCard Worldwide, merchant establishments, postal or
telecommunication authorities or any party in which may result in the Cardmembers failing to be entitled
to the Cash Back under this Campaign.
19. The records of transactions maintained by UOBM and UOBM’s decision on all matters relating to this
Campaign shall be final, conclusive and binding on the Cardmembers. UOBM shall not be obliged to give
any reasons or enter into any correspondence with any person(s) on any matter concerning the
Campaign.
20. UOBM shall not be liable for any misinterpretation or misrepresentation of facts by any unauthorised
third party in respect of the Campaign and/or the Cash Back offered and published in any mass media,
marketing or advertising materials.
21. UOBM shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liabilities of any nature and however arising or
suffered by the Cardmembers and/or third parties resulting directly or indirectly from the Campaign and
the Cash Back.
22. UOBM is not affiliated with the Qualifying Outlets and makes no representation or warranty with respect
to the quality of their items or their suitability for any purpose.
23. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UOBM expressly excludes and disclaims any representations,
warranties or endorsements, express or implied, written or oral, without limitation to those published in
any mass media, marketing or advertising materials, including but not limited to, any warranty of quality,
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose in respect of this Campaign and the Cash Back under
this Campaign.
24. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any advertising, promotional,
publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Campaign, these terms and conditions
shall prevail.
25. UOBM reserves the right to add, delete, suspend or vary the Campaign’s terms and conditions, from time
to time, wholly or in part, at its absolute discretion, by providing twenty one (21) days prior notice to the
Cardmembers via posting on UOBM’s website, displaying a notice at any of UOBM’s branches and/or a
statement insert in the Statement of Account.
26. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia
and the Cardmembers agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
