yes, staff training is very important. but most of the time it's not because of the staff problem but due to the fact that they have target to hit for both. since usually the dispenser is using uob already, so they will try to use affin for those who pay inside. if you catch them trying to swipe your uob cc using affin terminal, they will give you reason like uob terminal is down, so they will use affin instead. if you didn't catch them, you don't even know you already lost your smart$.

the same goes to other merchants too. for eg. gsc cinema got uob, hlb,...
*
so the best way is to swipe uob card at the self service pump terminal to ensure us to get the smart money? rclxms.gif

you may use the sample by tifosi below:
QUOTE
Dear Sirs,

I write with reference to my recent application for a credit card facility provided by *bank*, and your subsequent refusal of the facility. I fulfilled ALL the requirements as stated to get the *type of cc* and there are absolute NO reason for *bank* to reject my application based on my records alone. Furthermore, I am a good paymaster for my hire purchase and all my other credit cards as seen from the scanned copy of the CCRIS that I had attached. I was not blacklisted for anything and you could verify with CTOS if you need to.

I would like to appeal your decision because I feel I have underlying facts that would make you reconsider. I trust my appeal will be looked at more favourably than my original application.

Please spend a few moments looking at the additional information attached with my appeal. In the meantime, I look forward to your response, hopefully with better news than last time. Thanks

yes, af applies for all uob cc stated at first page. no specific rules to waive but most of the time it's waivable and it depends on each individual too.

I'm not sure if anyone has tried before.
If can get rebate, yes, RM 50 is the max even if you spend more than RM 1k.

Both have its pros and cons.
I'll list out for VOX since this is UOB thread.

Pros:
i) VOX gives RM 50 cash back if you spend RM 1000 in a month while CIMB CR gives RM 30 only the remaining RM 20 is for other retails spending.
ii) VOX can be used to purchase flight tickets and get cash rebate while CIMB CR cannot give you any cash rebate.
iii) VOX is said to give 5% cash rebate for TM (UniFi and Streamyx) while CIMB CR can't, but this is yet to be confirmed as it will only appear on 30th Sept, I'll confirm later. KIV for this.

Cons:
i) VOX needs to spend at least RM 50 per online transaction to be eligible for cash back while CIMB CR has no such restriction.
ii) VOX has monthly charge of RM 6 per month if you didn't spend anything on it while CIMB CR is a free for life card.

So, you have to know your spending first. smile.gif
For me, VOX has the advantage for me.

But but but.. i thought vox has collaboration with lelong,11street, and those online malaysia shop ? Anyway, the cash rebate will be credited on following 30th meaning what ? Let's say I spend on August, my statement for August come in September, let's say September 1st. Then on 30th September only I will get the cash rebate ? But what if September I don't use that card ? Where would the CR go ?
