Just to point out that the petrol rebate is based NOT based your total spending, instead it is based on the capped rebate. For example, if max rebate is RM25, you may spend all RM500 on weekend or all RM1250 on weekday. I lost a little rebate because "I stopped spending after reaching the spend limit".

the terminal is different. you will know how after using this card and see them swipe every time.

yes, staff training is very important. but most of the time it's not because of the staff problem but due to the fact that they have target to hit for both. since usually the dispenser is using uob already, so they will try to use affin for those who pay inside. if you catch them trying to swipe your uob cc using affin terminal, they will give you reason like uob terminal is down, so they will use affin instead. if you didn't catch them, you don't even know you already lost your smart$.

the same goes to other merchants too. for eg. gsc cinema got uob, hlb,...

If follow the same way how it works for UOB Preferred Plat, you need to swipe RM 500 for three months continuously, every time.

I purchase Xiaomi power bank actually on July 12, 14 is the posting, statement come out at 3/8. But since CR comes on the following month 30/8 so it is not include in the 3/8 statement. When 3/9 statement comes out it states that xiaomi purchase bla bla, CR RM5 +. So since I purchase around RM 100 so the CR RM 5+ is legit.

The trick I use on the 1k purchase is that I know my 3/9 my statement out, so I buy at 2/9 online so 2 days for posting which will bring the charge to 4/9. When statement on 3/9 comes out, the 1k item is not included. Had to have a good timing, because I go back the item webpage, the promotion is discontinued. Luckily buy on time . Although only 4/9 I will receive sms state that my statement is ready.

No need pin, I just registered one. Very easy process. Can do it online within few minutes.
Unlike last year, I cancelled my UOB One also because I cannot register online account.

Good for you guys, I asked few CS and all of them told me walk in to UOB. Anyway, I might do it since fax is acceptable. Still I check my transactions quite often.

1) Go to https://www.uob.com.my/uob/index.jsp and click on
2) Then a pop up window will appear, click on the continue button . Do not click on the " If you have other UOB products (ie. Savings Account, Loan, Fixed Deposit), please continue your login here after obtained a TPIN." I made this mistake earlier by clicking it.
3) Another pop up window will appear, click on the TnC agreement.
4) Proceed to next step and fill in the necessary in this page and you are good to go from here.
