I use vox card to pay for my xiaomi purchase online (paypal) and it is not rebate by the card. Purchase > RM 100 huh.gif so now i am still wondering how vox works. As far as i know, no rebate on online utility bill and insurance. amazon, ebay, lelong, lazada those suppose to have rebate right ?

And about UOB one card AF, they will charge you when it is almost a year or they will just charge you randomly in any month of the year ?

Hi, has anyone try VOX on 11street ? 5% on any purchase above rm 50 in 11street and cap at rm 50 max rebate (anything more than rm 1000 still will only get rm 50 max rebate)?

I'm not sure if anyone has tried before.
If can get rebate, yes, RM 50 is the max even if you spend more than RM 1k.
Both have its pros and cons.
I'll list out for VOX since this is UOB thread.

Pros:
i) VOX gives RM 50 cash back if you spend RM 1000 in a month while CIMB CR gives RM 30 only the remaining RM 20 is for other retails spending.
ii) VOX can be used to purchase flight tickets and get cash rebate while CIMB CR cannot give you any cash rebate.
iii) VOX is said to give 5% cash rebate for TM (UniFi and Streamyx) while CIMB CR can't, but this is yet to be confirmed as it will only appear on 30th Sept, I'll confirm later. KIV for this.

Cons:
i) VOX needs to spend at least RM 50 per online transaction to be eligible for cash back while CIMB CR has no such restriction.
ii) VOX has monthly charge of RM 6 per month if you didn't spend anything on it while CIMB CR is a free for life card.

So, you have to know your spending first. smile.gif
For me, VOX has the advantage for me.

But but but.. i thought vox has collaboration with lelong,11street, and those online malaysia shop ? Anyway, the cash rebate will be credited on following 30th meaning what ? Let's say I spend on August, my statement for August come in September, let's say September 1st. Then on 30th September only I will get the cash rebate ? But what if September I don't use that card ? Where would the CR go ?

Actually if it is an online transactions, it is pretty straight forward you will get the cash rebate. Only those utilities and bill payments a bit tricky. So, to answer to that, I guess those 11 street, Lelong, Lazada all will have 5% cash rebate.

Yes, following month 30th, I spent in August so I will expect to see only on Sept 30th.

The CR will be kept in your account until you spend it or you can off-set your outstanding bills if it is not due yet.
*
nice to know that. thanks. because I did purchase in Xiaomi Malaysia website using VOX and didn't get any CR. Will they mention it in the statement ? Something like CR pending to notify the card holder ?

When did you purchase? If it is last month, then you can only see it on 30th Sept. I think you will only see it in your unbilled transaction and posted in the statement that generated after 30th Sept?
*
I purchased in 12 July, August statement has no CR so should be September statement where the CR comes out ? Btw, when you mention it can be used to off-set the bill, can I use it to off-set UOB one card ? Because I got both cards.

Then, something wrong already. It should be in on 30th August? You can check with CS.
Sorry, I just got my VOX as well. blush.gif

I don't know if you can do that but I don't that is possible. It should be only applicable for VOX because UOB One has its own cash rebate.

Yup suppose is 30 August, but my September statement is not yet received. So I guess I still have to wait and see first smile.gif . By the way, how u pay unifi using VOX ? what is the procedure ?

Yes, tested for TNB but only processed yesterday due to long weekend holiday.
So, maybe can only see on 30th Oct.

I thought you have HLB Wise for TNB? smile.gif

Yes, if can pay for UniFi, basically I don't need to bother about the RM 6. laugh.gif
Er... How about checking from online? Unbilled transaction?

Yes, I paid UniFi using TM Portal but not sure if it works, will only know end of this month.

These BHPetrols are really cunning. I pumped a total of RM156.68 of petrol at BHP.

I only got smart$ = Rm1.12 and cashback = RM 7.83.

I can conclude that some of the terminals at the dispensers or at the counters, they did not use UOB terminals, thus I did not get the full smart$ rebate.

Average out my petrol cashback is at 5.71% instead of a full 7% (5+2).
*
For smartrebate on bhp, if the petrol station machine can take credit card, u will directly get the 2% (not shown in the receipt). If the petrol station machine does not take credit card, you have to go counter and let them swipe. But once they swipe, you will get a receipt that state the smart rebate you get. So, to be safe, always go to the counter and check the smart rebate.

On the other hand, swipe in the counter will charge your card directly but use in petrol machine will charge you after 2 days. So lets say this month your CR already use up, you can use the petrol machine to delay 2 days of the charge and bring to the next month statement if it is close to the statement date. Cheers smile.gif

Ya its safer to swipe the CC at the counter, and have to also make sure they use UOB terminal.

Petrol machine delay 2 days? You mean the Posting date? I thought they calculate the cash back via Transaction date but not Posting date?
*
i think is posting date. I just did that on my VOX card. I want purchase the item but the promotion ending soon. But I already spend half of the CR (RM25) on August. The item cost more than 1k so it will fill up my VOX CR totally (RM50). So instead of making it charge in August statement, I purposely wait until 2/9 to purchase the item so that the purchase goes to next month statement (My statement comes out at 3/9) and I can get full CR on next month. Today my statement come and the item that I purchase is not on the list because online purchase takes 2 days to record too. XD

So, instead of getting RM 50 rebate on August only, I split the statement so that I get RM 25 rebate on August amd RM 50 on September.

I found out how they pay back the CR. Purchase on July, next month 30th only come out CR. Every month statement for me out at 3rd. So in the end, 3rd Sept only I can get the CR. Means August CR will be on Oct, Sept CR will be on Nov.

Care to list out the details you purchase your Xiaomi phone.
i) Transaction date
ii) Posting date
iii) Statement date
iv) CR transaction and posting date

Thanks. smile.gif

I purchase Xiaomi power bank actually on July 12, 14 is the posting, statement come out at 3/8. But since CR comes on the following month 30/8 so it is not include in the 3/8 statement. When 3/9 statement comes out it states that xiaomi purchase bla bla, CR RM5 +. So since I purchase around RM 100 so the CR RM 5+ is legit.

The trick I use on the 1k purchase is that I know my 3/9 my statement out, so I buy at 2/9 online so 2 days for posting which will bring the charge to 4/9. When statement on 3/9 comes out, the 1k item is not included. Had to have a good timing, because I go back the item webpage, the promotion is discontinued. Luckily buy on time tongue.gif. Although only 4/9 I will receive sms state that my statement is ready.

OK got it. smile.gif

So, it is still valid that CR will appear on following month's 30th. biggrin.gif

You should register an online account, if you haven't. wink.gif biggrin.gif

uob online acc? I got. That is why I can know the transaction and posting date. The statement comes out once each month, so when my CR arrived, there is not way to update the current statement, so no choice have to bring it to next statement. Welcome biggrin.gif

have you try any online purchase which is less than rm50? can it get the CR?
*
Hi there, I have never try with something less than RM 50. But purchasing more than RM 50 is one of the criteria to be met in order to get the CR as stated in the terms and conditions. So, yea, I rather add up the things that I want to purchase so that my purchase at least hit RM 50. Don't want to risk it tongue.gif (Anyhow, don't just spend because you wan to get CR. Spend because you need it smile.gif )

guess what guys, my August spending on 11street got cash rebated but only rm 1.75. I spend almost rm 500 on that month solely for 11street. So I think it is as what fruite and the rest said, 0.3% retail.

But come on, 11street is 100% online ok. I think even 11street is listed as 1 of the online shop that VOX provide 5% CR. In my statement they don't even mention the RM 1.75 comes from where. But I can see is that the 1.75 is 0.3% of the total amount I spend. doh.gif

My July purchase from Xiaomi online and that is considered as online (as can be seen in the statement) doh.gif I already email the customer service not sure they will reply or not mad.gif

If after 14 days no go report to them they will just take you as agreed with the statement. The worse is, I already spend another 1.5k in 11street to purchase electronics and if that get 0.3% also. I really gonna cancel VOX soon. mad.gif CIMB online purchase 5% sounds more interesting than this. Kinda feel that all my 11street purchase will be 0.3% doh.gif And I will lost total of rm 70 + for the rebate mad.gif

Meanwhile, I am here waiting fruitie to pressure their customer service. rclxms.gif

So, I have received UOB call today and the staff say the online transaction cash back might take as long as 2 months time to credit into account. So he ask me to wait until next statement and if not getting it just call them again. He stated clearly to me that any online shopping is considered as online purchase. Bill and physical swipe, etc do not considered as online purchase.

I am curious so I asked him again if this month statement didn't get back the online cash back, how come I still get certain amount like RM 1.75 in the statement without any explanation. He said that is for retail purchase. I said I didn't do any retail purchase on the past and he reply online shopping also considered as retail purchase. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

If, online shopping = online purchase + retail purchase, then we might get a total of 5.3% of cash back. hmm.gif

Anyhow, have to wait until next month statement only know. Hope is real.
