Weight diff between persona and preve is 120+ kg more on preve. Its like carrying a 70kg male and a 50kg female in ur persona while none in the preve.

But yeah persona cvt is more refined.

About the absorber. Preve suspension is tuned between comfort and performance. I believe persona is focused on comfort.

Which one do u prefer. I find the preve suspension just nice

U can do pedal throttle response adjustment if u want to have the same response like persona.

Physical adjustment. I'm not sure sc knows or not how to do it, I requested one foreman that I know to do it for me. Only rm50. Just use a screwdriver.

After he did that, the 1 second delay from stop to start is gone. I like it very much.

So after u do this, the moment u pressed the pedal, it just go.

Fuel consumption, I think around the same for me. I'm clocking 8.5liter per 100 km. Quite decent.

Earlier last month I asked a second hand car dealer on the resale value of the Proton Preve Turbo year 2013. Even without looking at the condition of the car, her said it is RM17k. Seems a bit low to me. I thought it should range between RM20k-25k depending on condition?

Gearbox mounting not same engine mounting? Last time I changed four parts of mounting. Is it includes gearbox?

I just aware now only.

To be better prepared, what is the ball park cost for each mounting?

I'm 2013 batch, out of warranty. This damper replacement is not fall under default recall program. I had cvt sensor issue back to Dec last year, went SC dealer fix and they checked my car is entitled to do a Ecu update and one recall part. They advised me go CoSE so I went there but no one mentioned CVT damper.
I plan to go CoSE to do my next service and try talk with them again about this replacement.

I'm gonno go there and ask again next month. See if success. Haha

I have written on this thread before about the gearbox of my car malfunctioning. My Preve Turbo is Year 2013 and I'm not sure if it's the same as batch 2014. The gearbox failed during the 1st or 2nd year. Prior to the failure the gearbox was making loud and funny sound during accelerating and coming to a standstill as the gear is dragging. It wasn't until I brought the car for normal routine servicing before I was told by the service technician that the gearbox of my car was kaput and needed to be replaced.

The car was left in the service centre up to 1 week if I am not mistaken, and I was given a replacement car, also a Preve Turbo. Kudos to Proton for having a replacement car for customers during that time. The gearbox and some parts were replaced. However, there were follow-up 1 or 2 weeks after that as after the gearbox replacement and driving the car for few days, I felt some vibration inside the car. During the 2nd visit the gearbox mountings and some other parts were replaced. Basically I visited the service centre not less than 2 times (I think 3 or 4 times) for this gearbox problem.

Everything is free of charge as it's still under warranty (below 3 years). I am not aware of this recall program but it's good if they are calling some owners to have some of the parts replaced FOC.

P/S confusing. Like i said earlier, if it is a design problem, then they should fix the problem regardless of whether under warranty or not. Dont know where this CVT stands.

Wow, your SC is very responsible.  My SC here in Larkin, JB, is not so.  In September 2018, I had asked them about the ECU update (as those in this forum said that there is a new version available), they told me that they still haven't receive it and will call me when it's made available in Larkin.  Till now, more than 8 months already, still no call from them and I also don't want to ask them anymore during my last servicing.  I have also given up since the current original version is not giving me any problem.

At the next servicing, I'll check with them about this CVT damper replacement, but I'm sure they'll ask me to wait for their call as usual.  PROTON's after sales service is indeed disappointing.

I saw 2015 model got cfe in the ads but not on 2014 model. Is it correct? Which is better?

Is CFE means turbo?

Recently got a Preve Turbo 2019 in Silver as well. So far quite satisfied with it! The turbo definitely makes highway rides smooth and a joy.

Although a small downside is the lack of hill hold assist. And since its a clutch based CVT, rollbacks when on hill traffic occur (have to get used to it I guess)

Anyone updated ECU/TCU recently? Any difference felt?

Just checked with cose. They checked my car plate no and my car don't have that update. If want to check further have to bring car there. If really don't have for cvt2, really not fair la

Getting weird my preve. Just changed battery. And clean throttle body. 1st n 2nd day was okay. Smooth pickup and all. After few days, engine hard to start. Then jerking come back. Especially low speed and during air-cond compressor kicked. Did clutch adaptation myself. Doesn't help at all.

Air filter changed. What else. Hopefully just the fuel filter. Last changed was 60k km. Now reaching 110k km. Could also because need to service cvt already. Could also be because of alternator. But sc said no fault code.

Wondered if anyone experienced the air cond blowing got very loud Ssssssssssss... sound... Like snake... Normally I know old air cond does make that kind of sounds, but this one is way too loud, and it happen after few minute intervals, time between each interval is different. sometimes almost sound like fan scraping.
