Yeah ot happens even before servicing. But my ac no signs of dying whatsoever. I can live witth it just that the engine jerky when compressor kicked in. I guess it got something to do with degrade performance of the engine. Maybe i should consider carbon cleaning? Perhaps

Hi guys, wondering is there anyone successfully convert the preve cfe to turbo now?

For those who have replaced the CVT damper of the Preve Turbo under the recall which is free of charge, have you changed the engine mounting as well? THe service centre recently informed about this CVT damper recall but mentioned that if they open the compartment to change the CVT damper and find the engine mounting to show cracks, they warned that the engine mounting will need to be replaced as well but the cost of this part at RM500 will not be free of charge.

THe service centre mentioned that in most cases >70% the car will show vibration after the CVT damper is replaced without the engine mounting replaced. IN other words, the engine mounting will need to be replaced together with the CVT damper to prevent the vibration.

Has anybody successfully replaced the CVT damper WITHOUT replacing the engine mounting and yet did not experience any vibration in the vehicle? I am hesitant to replace the CVT damper recall as I will be selling the car by end of this year, not wanting to waste anymore money on the car after spending close to RM3,000 this year alone for service and repair of worn-out parts.

How is your car acceleration from standstill ? If its like sudden acceleration from standstill or even from reversing , then u need to change CVT damper and flywheel. Mine after changing is smoother and nicer to ride. Eventhough Preve absorber is harder and not comfortable for family use but on highway the power and handling is superb. Was thinking of selling but after CVT damper changing and later change engine mounting, i quite appreciate it.

When I put my car into reverse, the usual reverse sensor beeping not working normally.

Instead is gives a continuous long beep (alike an object is very close) but actually nothing is there

What could be the issue?

My 2014 preve carpet wet and grow fungus
cleaned up the carpet, ensure window closed tight all the time and the issue return , carpet wet again. any idea? the fungus make me cough badly, help pls.

My parents got the 2019 preve. Nice car, but cant't believe it doesn't have reverse camera.

However the issue is the head unit kept resetting its date and time to 2011. Changed a new head unit since it's in warranty. Now it defaulted to 2019. Anybody else got this problem?

2019 Model  = with black side mirror but roof colour follow car body colour.

Yeah that's true. When I took delivery of my 2019 model, I was surprised that the roof was not the same quartz black as in the advertising material.
Although I personally prefer the body-coloured roof.
Maybe because black quartz roof makes the car hotter?

its not hissing, its like the sound of gas release...

I noticed this when I'm driving at high speed, and it will happen every 10sec

Need some help here.

My proton preve car battery died and I can’t open my car door. From what I know the driver’s door handle has a small hole to press out a flop to manually unlock the door.

I tried but to no avail. Anybody have any idea to  open preve car door when the battery is dead ?

More rough and can feel every hole and bump on the road. btw i was using Hankook V12 tyre size at 215/45/17.
Maybe im old now so not really feel comfortable using this size anymore.
but handling and cornering is better with this size.

True, if really compare to Vios those our Preve is really no match on comfort. But handling good mah.
So if 16inch stock size already in that situation, Let imaging upgrade to 17 and thinner sidewall...

Could you keep us updated? I have done mine last year during services but as I had left the car at SC for 4 days due to outstation, never gave it a second look but did notice on the invoice it said was done/sent to Shah Alam but the SC was in Alor Setar. It did include some gearbox related replacement but didn’t asked the agent much.

About this brake switch, I already know that the latest version is PW822263V3 (Version 3).  But when their staff was checking their system, she told me that for PREVE, it should be PW822263V2 (Version 2).  She said that on her computer record, PW822263V3 is for IRIS and PERSONA.  I asked her to reconfirm this with her mechanic, but she said that they will only recommend as according to what is stated on their computer record. 

She said that there is only 1 more piece in stock for PW822263V2 but several pieces more for PW822263V3.  In the end, I did not listen to her advise but I chose to buy the PW822263V3, which also cost about RM1.00+ more.  I have already tested the electrical connections (as compared to my current brake switch), length and size, and every thing is the same.  After installing it, the brake lights and the "P" gear position unlock operation all work as per normal. 

Why I decided to change the brake switch is because sometimes it won't release the gear from its "P" position.  During such times, I'll have to OFF the ignition and RESTART again to get it to release from "P" position, at times having to do this process more than twice.
