any one face any problem of noisy electric starter? my kriss is like coughing whenever i use the electric starter, very loud to the extent that i feel embarrassed, so i just kick start it nowadays..
could it be other problems that is causing that? or is it just the starter is dying? it'll still run, just that damn noisy, and took sometime before the motor will start..

Check your battery. It could be dying.

i have a feeling that it's not the battery.. normally how long does a battery last?
i have a battery charger at home, and i've tried using the starter with the charger on, sounds the same also...
the charger can output 12-14V @ 6amp max, should be able to power the starter rite?

First thing to do is to ensure your water level in the battery is correct. Then go ahead and charge it up. Let the batt charge for an hour or so and try it again. Connecting the charger to the batt is not good enough.

Batteries usually last for 1-2 years.

well... i should say it is reasonable enough.... actually you can compare the shops around there. I think price should be around there. The main reason i go that shop because i know them. My demand is high enough... only some people can fulfill my demand.
