I don't know - it's very tempting, and if I'm Najib's (or Nazri's..) son I'd do it in a heartbeat. Rationally I'd wait till the price goes down which, it should. I recall RNS510 retrofits back then were pretty pricey too. I remember playing around with the 2nd gen MIB in the Beetle Club - slightly larger screen with better resolution, more features and faster, to boot.
And then after the DP retrofit you'll want the side assist, Park Assist and KESSY retrofit (which will surely come) too... the pain ugh.

I used a silicone spray thats made for rubber etc and lube it all up. Actually lasts around 2 months or so. Made it a habit to renew the lube when waxing the car. So far, so good.

QUOTE(hafizi01 @ Jun 6 2016, 07:29 AM) greetings all sifus.. a friend of mine owned a golf 1.4tsi.. must be an mk7.. recently his battery died so he need to change his battery.. but from my understanding golfs uses varta but their sizes are not the same as DINs or NSs.. so my question is, what is DINs/NSs equivalent size for golfs? any recommendable size? his Ah is 61Ah if that might help.. Well mk7 batteries are tricky due to having to use either EFB or AGM ones, and mostly aren't cheap compared to normal lead acid ones. So far I've seen Varta and Moll stock batteries on mk7s. Battery should be covered for 2 years out of showroom - is his battery warranty out? A few of my friends opt for buying Varta AGMs - it's a bit cheaper than stock EFB sold by dealers and somewhat better, too; tho only time will tell. My stock EFB died only like, after 1 1/2 years old. Afaik these days European car batteries use ETN/short/Euro codes so might confuse people used to DIN/NS. Probably someone with better info on this thing can pitch in.

Yea last time I checked its $960+- for an EFB not including installation and setting, which would be $138 or so. And since you mentioned Terengganu/Pahang, theres only one dealer for the East Coast area sooo..
I would recommend looking for a suitable EFB/AGM outside, really. Although I cant say much about the settings, although there are several options.

Nah. Most probably will be a GTI re-spec. Since it doesn't make sense now the cheaper 1.4 comes with KESSY/Park Assist/LED taillights/6.5" MiB II while the much much more expensive GTI, doesn't.
They removed the Jetta/Passat too. Now that, will be the facelift/B8 although most probably will be sometime during Q3 this year.

AFAIK just the TSI/DSG, the 16"s and ESP/ESC; maybe some trims? Although I noticed the lowest Trendline make do with standard headlights, not dual ones like the Highline, not sure bout the Comfortline.

QUOTE(kadajawi @ Jul 17 2016, 09:12 PM) Nope, 16" Fortaleza. I believe they were only available with the Cup special edition... I think they look pretty good for 16" rims, and there's still some ride quality left. They are not as sharply cut as the Luxor. They aren't mine to keep though, the car originally came with 17" rims which the dealer just didn't have there, as it was still sitting on winter tyres and the original rims were at the previous owner. Not sure if I shouldn't ask him to keep these though, because I suspect the original rims are the 17" Dijon. So instead of 205/55 R 16 I'd have 225/45 R 17. The 16" should have better acceleration, better fuel consumption, better top speed, better ride comfort. And the 17" don't look better to me... If it were the Geneva, Salvador or Madrid (or better yet Singapore, they look great), it'd be a bit different. But Dijon just doesn't look special to me I've got the production process list where they list all the parts that were built into my car, like which dampeners, which badges were attached, etc., but for rims they just say C7E, L, RAD, alloy rims 7J x 17 That doesn't help me... https://data.motor-talk.de/data/galleries/0...33800364280.JPGvs https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTkwWDEwMjQ=/z/U...y/$_86.JPGAnd here I thought I've seen all mk7 wheels I admit, 17" Salvador/Madrid/Curitiba are awesome. Now if only I can get them from the breakers in Germany to here.. QUOTE(Geo2 @ Jul 18 2016, 10:13 AM) Any one here install push start button for Jetta? Push start retrofit is pretty affordable for the Jetta/Golf etc nowdays. Used to be 10k+

I think its around 4k or smth last time I checked for the Jetta now. Considering what it adds (KESSY/Push start) I'd say its reasonable. If its available for the mk7 now I'd go for it too.

QUOTE(mfashraf @ Jul 24 2016, 09:02 AM) Hi guys. Yesterday I went and test drive a pre-owned Golf MK7 TSI at Ming Heng, Setapak. Got to know about it here. http://www.mudah.my/2013+Volkswagen+Golf+G...it-47197494.htmI liked the driving and everything but there were a few things missing from the car. Like the steering wheel is empty and the screen is smaller and only dual-tone (black and white, did not notice any other colors). You can look at it at the attachment. I went to VW Glenmarie and at first, they were quite suspicious about it but said it was a mk7. When I mentioned Ming Heng they said that it's also a VW dealer but for pre-owned cars. I booked the car already but a bit hesitant to proceed with it. Everything else looks fine tho. What'd you guys think? Thanks Mmmm different seats, radio, no fogs, no xenon, no MF steering.. what spec is this, even? Has even less stuff that the current Comfort line, looks like some sort of Trendline spec VW. Being a 2013 car too. Yea it's cheap, I'll give you that. And the description in the ad is downright silly. This post has been edited by BlitzAce: Jul 24 2016, 10:33 AM

I'm not sure what to say really. Probably it's a demo car brought in by Ming Heng, thus the different specs. The drive I reckon should be much less the same, but with a lot of specs missing from standard 1.4 mk7 Golfs here.

That would be the Trendline Vento, and it is officially available here btw. Prices would be normal after rebates which is 10k for Vento iinm.

If by mileage 45k is only 3rd service - just oil/filter change, and brake fluid. Major is at 60k. Perhaps by age?
