QUOTE(Error404 @ Aug 17 2015, 11:39 AM) No, 3rd to 5th year warranty on parts still the same. It was covered by extended warranty (insured by VGM via Allianz). Only battery is not covered after 2 year. I just change my waterpump, clutch, fan belt at SC under extended warranty. In that case, cannot do anything till after 5 years...

QUOTE(MOMOchacha @ Mar 14 2016, 08:28 PM) Hi to all sifu gere, my fren told me volkswagen polo got less for 2014 model. Can i know 5 years warranty still work? Warranty starts from the day your car is registered. Not the manufactured date. Do take note that it is 2+3 warranty. Meaning 2 years warranty from VW & 3 years from insurance

QUOTE(stasio @ Apr 18 2016, 01:34 PM) VW opens new Shah Alam parts hub in July last year, so should be no problem. Not sure how true this is. Last month when I had to replace my vent hose and water pump, the SC needed to order from Singapore. And my car had to be in the workshop for close to a week.

QUOTE(kaiba911 @ May 16 2016, 12:22 AM) anyone do their interval services (normal checking) at around 7k milleage? If so, which service center you will go? Interim service can be done at outside. No need to go to VWSC. Just change the engine oil and oil filter.

QUOTE(Ryk @ Jul 25 2016, 04:34 PM) I'm heading to KL this weekend so arrange for my car to get my third service. My friend ask me to go VW Puchong (Swire), but sounds not good that I go through review online. Any good service centre to recommend in KL or Selangor? Actually what's your concern on Swire motor? I have been doing my service there. No major issue with them so far...

Since April this year, they have increased the price. Parts like oil filter, drain plug, etc have increased. Although the engine oil price remained. Their GFF/ Guided functions charges has also increased. There are certain items which are optional. You can ask them

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Dec 7 2016, 11:13 AM) VPCM announces extended goodwill warranty for cars up to Dec 2013. You can read our story here. Not only for DQ200 cars; mk6 Golf GTI, Tiguan, Touareg also covered. I guess I have to continue servicing my car from authorized service center for the next 2.5 years now. Dec 2013 is refering to manufactured or Vehicle registration date?

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Dec 8 2016, 10:25 AM) Goodwill on DSG for cars sold up to Dec 2013. Actually according to the article, it is for cars manufactured up till Dec 2013. Some car might have been registered after that date. Hopefully they will issue a letter or certificate to each of the owners. Else later change their mind... https://www.autofreaks.com/news/volkswagen-...rranty-for-dsg/

Hi everyone, My passat is due for front brake dics and brake pad replacement. VW SC quoted me RM1.7k for replacement parts.
Got a quote from outside spare parts shop for around RM600
Another shop outside proposed using Bosch brake pads Anyone got experience using Bosch brake pads?
