*sigh, the GPRO straddle is going against me. After I found out, the stock did rally more than 20% "before the earnings" doh.gif Anyway, scalp out some put options for a 8 percent gain on put options. Still a loss though.

Waah.. you're super bearish. sweat.gif

Oil at 40'sh is like in 2009.. during recession. But, heck, where's recession now?
Everyone happy go lucky.

it was around 44 at end jan and mid mar 2015.

44 is possible as a triple bottom.

but more likely to hang around 47.50.

i see still plenty of chance to play crude/energy short and inverse. tongue.gif

Hey.. whatca know. The fruit is at good support here at 125 after so called wall street "disappointment" about their outlook.
Sales missed "analysts" estimates? Who are those analysts huh? What are they drinking? hmm.gif

US 49.5bln revenue for last qtr with 35% growth from last year.. is a huge success in my book.
Heck, enough to even pay off Malaysia 1MDB debt in one shot and lots of spare change.
Najib could have invested in AAPL fund instead ... tongue.gif

I think we got good buying opportunity again if it dives down below 120 again. brows.gif

here's the thing i dun quite follow.

so much already returned to shareholders via buyback?

yet the price have not improved since buyback announcement made in apr.

what would happen if the buyback is reduced or halted? hmm.gif

Apple is also seeking to return more of its growing cash hoard to investors. In April, the company unveiled plans to boost capital return program by $70 billion, increasing a share-buyback authorization by $50 billion and increasing dividends by 11 percent. At the end of June quarter, the company had returned $126 billion of its $200 billion program, including $90 billion in share repurchases, Chief Financial officer Luca Maestri told analysts on Tuesday.

Not just AAPL, lots of other companies (INTC, WFC, XOM, GILD) are doing this to pump up their EPS.
I think buy back won't stop because they got tons of cash and no where to go.
Eventually, price will improve because of the reduction of shares in market and earnings continue to improve.
Maybe even more volatile too.

After 2 days of red sea, we may finally get a green!

Pre-Market Indicator
Dow - 17809.00 +24.00
Nasdaq 100 - 4627.75 +10.25
S&P 500 - 2111.00 +3.00

Looks like MCD, CMCSA will announcing their earnings soon while AMZN, T with TRIP will be announcing their earnings during after hours later, everyone is keeping a wait and see attitude. And surprise, it seems WTI Crude is below 50 again. Wonder if it will ever rebound?
