not an owner,

but in our Construction line, there is a saying that Contractor always can do magic, so no worry, i believe it will complete in time

lets see wht kinda magic they cn work here with 2 yrs+ n still piling works... maybe 2016 june hopefully finish piling up to ground floor since frm june 2015 until now hardly any progress..can check frm page 1 until recent photo

To complete in 2years, the Contractor not only need to do magic but also need miracle. Still no worry? Thn good luck.

If you are referring to bore piles layers at the edge, my guess is that they wanna build a strong retaining wall.
The convent at the hill is the highest ground neighbor of EKC. Hence the perimeter wall has to be strong enough to prevent erosion and the same time allowing basement work to carry on.
Any expert view is welcome....

1 developer told me to construct 3 levels of basement is time consuming and costly. thats why most will opt not to construct basement carpark but will just choose to construct upwards fr ground floor.

basement parking is at least double the cost of elevated parking. Ventilation, drainage design etc are very important to ensure no flooding and always well ventilated. All the cost added up

Ventilation and drainage system on basement not really cost alot. But in term of structure for for retaining wall, waterproofing, water tanking system. Yes.
