If u got money go with R9 390 and if u are nvdia fanboy go take GTX 970, btw R9 390 beat 970. If u can tahan wait till Q1 or Q2 pascal will released

I have both R9 390 and GTX 970, and I can tell you that they exchange blows.

It very much depends on the clock speed, they exchange blows, for example PowerColor R9 390 is faster than stock GTX 970 but trails very close to overclocked GTX 970.

R9 390 generally offers better price to performance ratio at the expense of being the hotter card.

i think you could still play latest games low to medium settings 1080p and depends on what games you want to play too.

Just state your budget and I'm sure someone can help you to select the best performance/price card.. specifying all game apps is very vague (you want to run highest setting at 4K? or lowest setting at 720p? or PS4 like performance?)

Buy GTX760 then haha

the real question is what gpu can play the games you want at what quality settings.

if you don't care about medium or low graphics, you can get the cheapest gpu on the latest platform e.g. maxwell etc.

i think the cheapest is a 950 gtx ?

but considering dx12 async compute, amd might be a safer bet for better scaling performance for dx12... but this is not conclusive just yet, but it seems that way so far.

Not sure about Power Colour R390 but one of the factor of me going Asus 970 is because my damn case cannot fit the sapphire 290. Not to mention my PSU is also only 520w. >_<

Btw running shadowplay record So fps kindda drop by 5-7.

I completed Batman AK on PC long time ago. Very smooth gameplay..

Installed on my SSD to play (pagefile also need to be on SSD, or else will stutter too). Heavy write on SSD due to writing on pagefile >.<

Most probably without any backplate for this. First the EVGA version and then this. Both also have kinda ugly shroud. The vanilla NVidia shroud looks way better IMO.

its insane how much the drivers with windows 10 has improved
1405 sli now gpu score is 40455k..... so far in most games its definitely more than win 8.1

I wonder if Skylake will give you even higher score, considering it has better IPC than Haswell range.
