we thought those fiji low stock was bad. now with rumors that hbm2 will also be low on supply, and amd going to get priority. thats gonna suck for nvidia

i'm wondering though should i get a gp100 or a gp104 ? not really sure whats the difference other than the former will come first. will it follow the same strategy that the higher end card comes out first ? cause i rather get that card if thats the case

Is my Intel 3770 ivy bridge going to be enough :/ ? don't really feel like upgrading that until cannonlake. Also wondering how the amd zen will turn out, whether it will rock the boat in the cpu market kek.

Is it worth it to upgrade to a 970 from a R9 280X for less heat and more performance?

though i'm wondering what exactly is the launch date for volta. last time they said a year after pascal. then it was bumped to 2. now their saying 2017 again... lel....
so basically... the fiji mostly played catch up. didn't really outright defeat the 980ti. but they did bring in hbm (to cope with the curve of performance, this was a necessary step at some point). but that was about it. also they capped at 4gb vram due to hbm1 technology constraints .... less than the 6gb vram on a 980ti. but even worse was the price/performance they matched exactly to the 980ti which i felt was a poor decision choice, cause it was more likely people would buy a 980ti because of that.

if the rumors are true, pascal is not only adding hbm, their also going to add a huge jump in performance. and if that wasn't enough, we thought it would be 8gb vram, but now it could possible be even up to 16-32gb ......

even i think 16+ seems a bit unnecessary at this point. i'm just fine with 8gb for future proofing.  or do 4k gaming ultra textures really need that much ? it would be interesting to see when those reviews come out 
now question is price ... 
did you test regarding any issues when the fps dips below the minimum vrr ? how does that affect gaming, and how noticeable was it    i'm interested to know.

if i'm not mistaken this also would mean 2 gpus with 4gb vram each would effectively be 4+4 = 8vram, rather than 4gb vram prior dx12

yeah multi gpu more bang for your buck. but i still wouldn't go multi gpu :} expensive. not to mention i don't think this will change multi gpus being more dependent on driver updates compared to single gpu solutions.

yeah funny indeed...  but NVIDIA is telling/pressure Oxide to disable async compute/shader feature on the bench.

Most probably without any backplate for this. First the EVGA version and then this. Both also have kinda ugly shroud. The vanilla NVidia shroud looks way better IMO.
