Normally how much do we have to pay the taxi if we book it for a half day? Actually I did not really plan going to jungle trekking since we all malaysian surround by jungle a lot, I just want to see the countryside...hehe.. Is there a orchid farm right now in CH?because I did read the previous comment saying there use to be orchid farm but due to some reason it close down.

Not far. exactly 3450M from the main road or 261M from Maybank Tanah Rata & 193M from Twin Pine their sister GH haha (GPS measurement)
BTW, parking there abit susah bcos limited space. Sometime, you need to park outside the GH or even further near Twin Pine side bcos lack of parking space.
Twin pine is dormitory style and sharing bathroom wan wor. KRS having individual rooms

i did a simple google map from KL <--> Equatorial Cameron ...... just wonder..between the junction ofter tapah or Gopeng, which one is the newer better road ? im guessing the tapah one is the old shorter old road whereas the after gopeng is slightly longer but a bit better in terms of road condition/safely ?

Don't waste your toll going to Spg Pulai (Not Gopeng). No doubt the road better than Tapah & no need to tail-gating lorries/buses but not worth-it lor..Furthermore chances of getting jam near Tringkap & Sg Palas junction also very high.
Timing using both way also the same.. 1.5hr from Tapah till Equatorial using the old way Vs 1/2 hr driving xtra km to Spg Pulai & from Spg Pulai to Equatorial another 45- 1hr (Depending on jam)..I choose Tapah way

I don't know about ice cream but scones wise, reputably Smoke House's is good. They used to served it for tea. Another good one is T-cafe just above Merrybrown Chicken in Tanah Rata. Most tourist go for T-cafe though as some reviews says Smoke House's service is a bit 'lansi'. From Kuantan, you don't have to go all the way to KL anymore as the road from Raub to Bertam Valley in Cameron Highlands is already opened. Alternately you can travel to Gua Musang and from there you can drive to Kg.Raja in Cameron Highland.
