Those are the lousiest food leh..Sumore kena ketuk..The best & resonable food are in Tanah Rata not in Brinchang..those are slaughtering houses!!

BTW, You Hou having Public Holiday rate too...I was like WTH.... mad.gif Steamboat almost doubled during Public Hoilday!! For better food I rather drive down to Tanah rata 7 visit either MayFlower, Hong kong or even nyonya fern steamboats  smile.gif
*
Well, the restaurant beside You Hou is not bad, buffet steamboat at rm19.80 per head, eat and DRINK all you can, drinks include Milo, Ice lemon Tea, Green tea and so on, it is really worth though, in KL, most are eat all you can but not drink all you can. Soup was not bad too, at least much better than those in Buffet Steamboat in KL such as Hoi Tong and Yuen(Sunway).

MFM only having "brinchang Steamboat" not far from You Hou POI hmm.gif

Check my earlier replies! I noted a few apartments (private ones) clean and cheaper in fact.

Peak season is actually quite high. During CNY, they even shoot up to RM600 a day. That is why I don't go for hoildays during peak seasons, you will be fighting for food, traffic is congested and hotels are expensive, There's a cheaper alternative though but the apartment is in Tringkap (near Rose Valley). Call Mr. Lee Chun Choy hp. 012-5514218. He is a DJ in a karaoke joint located in Rosa Passadena. If you are staying here, remember to look for Ah Kow (Restoran tringkap) for his famous 'chiew pai yee' and  deep fried oyster mushroom.

Try this, Call Ah Ling - 05-4915306 , 05-4911328 ( she's a vege vendor in Brinchang and has 2 nicely furnished apts. in Tanah Rata with cooking facilities, astro and 3 rooms.

Alternatively contact Lily Holidays. They have 4 apartments in Royal Lily. Call Chai Hok Kwi/Wong Keat Yeen.
019-5487896, 019-4252253, 013-5255222

Try this last, he is a commission agent and handles about 50 apartments in Tanah Rata area namely , Desa Anthurium, Carnation Park and Royal Lily. I am sure this guy have apartments. His no. is 012-5066070

Planning to go Cameron Highlands this coming April.. Planned to stay in a budget hotel and so far the place I shortlisted are:

1. Father's Guesthouse
2. Cameronian Inn
3. Daniel's Traveller's Lodge

Anyone stayed in 1 before? Because Father's Guesthouse is my 1st choice as the place looks nice and cosy... Feedbacks are appreciated.. Thanks!

Huh Where is Belong??

BTW, the Tea farms that i know:

1) Bharat - Habu - the starting point b4 entering Tanah Rata & the most scenic one

2) Boh -Habu - Deep inside Habu. A short hike up on one of the summit beside the office will be rewarded wth one of the best view of CH

3) Boh - Palas - On the way to the summit of Gunung Brinchang & Gunung Irau

4) Bharat - Tringkap - so-so view

5) the furthest - Blue Valley

Belongs to Boh Plantation. I'll be staying over at Equatorial. smile.gif I know there's a Boh in front of it but I heard it's a very rough ride up and if there are alot of people, it'll be dangerous as the drive up is narrow?

What else to do in cameron?

Oh OK.. If the one near equatorial ..it's palas..Yeah the road there is the narrowest of all.. good for 1.5 cars at certain location,, U need to give way..During Holiday...that's the worst road u can think off...Who gonna give way?? Condition till Palas is good except the narrow road..Going up To brinchang pretty bad esp near to the workers quarters

Actually there is a highway linking Ringlet in C.Highlands to Gap near Frasers Hill. The trip took less than 80 minutes. Part of the road was not laid yet but accessible with 4WDs. The last time they did the trip was 2 years ago and I still do not know the status of the highway. The broken length was not long as they said. The road near Bertam Valley is ready for the opening. It is a long delayed project and I think it should be ready. A lot of Cameronians are going to become poorer once it is ready because they say trip to Genting HIghlands is just over 2 hours.
