QUOTE(our_team89 @ Nov 29 2015, 01:32 AM) Guys, It easily last 1.5 days (data) ~ 2 days (wifi) with light usage Interested to buy this phone for my mom But how bout battery life if only occasionally check for whatsapp, mostly used for call, wifi always on n use mobile data outside home? Can it last until 2 days with this light usage? My gf is a social heavy user and still get her through a day..fb, insta, whatsapp, selfies..and whatnot. Screen on time is 4.5~5 hours with 30%++ battery left at the end of the day. This post has been edited by Xierra777: Nov 29 2015, 02:35 AM |

Guys is this HONOR 7 going to update with Android M? How Is EMUI doing? Been using stock android or near stock android, how is EMUI doing compare to that in terms of stability? Im not a heavy gamer but uses social media extensively. Im also worry about the functionality of the heavily modified EMUI and compatibility with google apps. Last time i had a problem with sync-ing my gmail and hotmail using some heavily modified UI (not EMUI la).
Never use EMUI before, but many reviews in its features looks promising. |

QUOTE(Nuzzary @ Nov 27 2015, 01:56 AM) I don't have 1+2 but I have nexus 6p (better phone than 1+2 by miles) and during my short spell (just got my nexus 6p a few hours ago) there are things that H7 is better How do you find the software between nexus 6p vs H7? Im a fan of stock android but it is too expensive nowadays.1. Finger print unlock - H7 unlock is fast!! Really really fast and accurate.. I was taking it for granted until I start using Nexus 6p and felt slower and need a steady finger. 2. The IPS neo screen is beautiful - Nexus 6p is using AMOLED and when the brightness is high the difference are small but when you are using your phone in the dark / slight darkness the AMOLED can't really find the balance correct (color become saturated in lower backlight scenario) while the IPS screen on H7 tend to maintain color accuracy even with dimmer screen. In just a few hours I could see things that I was taken for granted on H7 was actually very very good vs other phone (even the flagship Nexus 6p) |

Great photo (miles better from H7 in low light), fast SD810, 5.7 inch but still fit nicely and the best is Marshmallow android.H7 in the other hand is a phone with additional feature and gesture.. Dual sim / external storage / EMUI itself have more things than stock android. To me both are a special phone on their own.. Some things are better on H7 and some on Nexus. |

Good to hear that. Taking photos with phone is the least priority in my requirement haha. Do u experience hiccups or spikes with usage of H7, in normal tasks like facebook, whatapps, browsing etc. SD810 is good to have but for light gamer like me won't put it into good use. Some things are better on H7 and some on Nexus. My requirements are pretty simple like receiving messages and email notifications on time, fast locking GPS, smooth browsing and fluid in operating between different social apps. Previously using some other UI giving me troubles in receiving email and messages notifications. The next close choice is the nexus 5x but is rather expensive at rm1.9k. Using SD808 and 2gb ram only, the only good thing about it is the stock android experience. But way more expensive than H7. |

Honor 7 can easily handle your needs. Kirin 935 and Snapdragon 810 are not too far apart in CPU performance, but the Adreno 430 GPU in SD810 is what destroys Mali-T628 MP4 in Kirin 935. So, if you're not gaming, Kirin 935 will do as fine as SD810. If you consider Nexus 5X, do consider Xiaomi Mi4C too? Similar specs, but cheaper. That's why I'm more concern about the software reliability and fluidity rather than processing power as I'm a light user. Snapdragon 808 + 3GB RAM + 32GB storage for RM1.2K Came across with XiaoMi devices, I guess MIUI is just not my cup of tea, but my gf is enjoying MIUI with her Mi3 haha. Another thing is that i always have the urge to try new android version when it comes out. While Mi3 is still with KitKat if not mistaken, so I ruled XiaoMi out. |

But it's very stable on my Mi Note so far (Android 5.0.2) However, I conclude EMUI is doing better. My gf has no issues whatsoever with her H7. She's a mid-heavy user. EMUI fly smoothly even with much lower-tier Kirin 620 of the Honor 4X. This post has been edited by Xierra777: Nov 29 2015, 03:41 PM |
