TRUE ! I can happily even live with 2GB Ram - as I don't do gaming on my phones. Multitasking ? - the most at any time only 5-6 apps
*
Agreed, comparing 2GB to 3GB is not that much difference as the software optimization is much important. Some apps like Wechat will always close if opening multiple apps, the Wechat earth logo always show.

huermmmmmm was hoping for a miracle that this would come cheaper lol.. now I'm confused what phone to buy my wife, not heavy user budget around 1k, this or just get the older honor6?
*
Buy according to budget, if no heavy gaming, then Huawei phone is okay good. If 3d gaming then no. If you like fingerprint scanner, then must go for honor 7. Huawei fingerprint scanner really top notch.

Share review pls! I want to buy this phone. Torn between this or Mi4C
*
Initial review:
Look: The phone feels solid and the cold edge of metal construction is much enjoyable compared to plastic xiaomi.

Screen: adjustable white balance, colour and contrast is satisfied so far, 5.2 inch with over 70% body to screen ration doesn't makes the phone any bigger. Xiaomi screen is beautiful too, i mean 4i.

Camera: camera is good, but the focus slightly weaker in low light/low contrast, normal light is really fast with new Sony sensor.

Performance: Performance is really good when browsing and multitasking, the interface got some style in some parts, but other seems not match. Overall the UI is good.

Gaming: Weakest part of this phone but didn't plan to use it for gaming too.

BEST: breezeeeeee finger print scanner, the company that can really challenge on Apple for this part, and multi gesture using this scanner such as notification shade, back, taking selfie....love it

vs Xiaomi 4C: erm.....4C is a beast, but availability and price not confirmed yet. The thing that need to consider here is fingerprint scanner, gaming and UI.

Should I get Mi note or this honor 7 from LZD, assuming both I can have rm150 off smile.gif
*
Depends on the size you want, 5.2 above too large to be comfortable.

if money is not an issue for u , then go for mi note, the specs and design is better in every way.
only lacking the finger print sensor.
*
Design is pretty subjective, I think the best design from Xiaomi is 4i or 4C, the overall feel.

Experience any wakelock? My battery drop 1~1.5% per hour because Android OS wake lock.

got my silver set. A little bit different compared to honor 6 :

1. Can't manual change to 3G/LTE
2. notification drawer cannot edit
*
1. Yes, you can. There is a shortcut for 4g in pull down menu, just drag to bottom or find through the shortcut.
2. Yes you can edit the sequence, but i think not add/delete, just drag to bottom in those shortcuts.

Anyone who has got the phone can confirm whether it has fast charge and NFC?
*
Yes, it has fast charging, the option even in the settings>battery, although i disable it and not sure about the result. I prefer my battery maintain well and long lasting.

There is no NFC for sure, seems like 64GB got it, correct me if im wrong.

PSA, if you hate cluttered app drawer and only way to organize is folder, you may swipe two fingers outwards for hiding apps. Swipe two fingers inward to add page, widget and stuff. You may swipe down in the app drawer for search, like Iphone.

Ha, i'm now using HTC Sense 7 launcher with apps drawer, hiding those unused apps in drawer and i like blinkfeed feature.
*
Yea, launcher is always the better choice. But i concern about the stability and the overall aesthetics continuity...so has to compromise a bit sweat.gif see i like the EMUI or not. Last time using launcher on Honor 6 causing crash, hate that.

The kirin soc is very good in real life tests.  Even though it's slower than other chips.  It's enough for me who games on the master race pc.  Hearthstone is ok.

No lags.  It's not the best but it's more than  enough.

Emui,  it's just nice.  Gives the phone an added persona.

Camera is definitely an upgrade over the oneplus.
Battery is honestly better than the opo but only by a bit. The fingerprint is the main highlight here, and for 1200 ringgit it's a steal.

Hahah
*
Good short review. I would add the camera focus good but not in low light. The body is solid and once again, the fingerprint shall hold high regards. As for EMUI, i like it, but nothing much to write home. Still prefer stock android look, especially the notfication pull down.

still deciding between honor 7 or xperia M5...

Decide between waterproof vs fingerprint. Camera almost the same. Processor not much different. Ram same, UI prefer Sony more. I have honor 7 and z1.

i am quite a freq smartphone changer for my secondary device, and coming fr. Xperia M5 ex-owner, I would say you money spend better on honor 7. Nothing actually better in M5 except the camera and water/dust resistant.

but still depend what you intention of getting one of these, for rigid build and signal reception -> Honor 7. For water resistant sake and good camera probably M5 would suit u better. But again to me, Xperia UI seems like nothing improving... and hv issue on my corporate email client (IBM verse). maybe just me, so no offense made to xperia fans.

honor 7 the fingerprint scanner unlock process is superbly fast... it is faster and quicker than ip6. but slightly slower than ip6s. I have no idea what apple have done to the new ip6s, everything is just quicccccccccck with its dual core A9  processor. and hence, it's my primary device.
*
Which position you like more? I prefer honor 7 fingerprint at the back, more natural. Didn't use my phone much on the desk, two finger FTW. And iPhone6s need to press down, how if the time factor in? Honor 7 just touch and voila.

I am very very please with my Honor 7 :-)

But there seem to be one problem.

The auto brightness function for honor 7 looks cacat, it is very dim at 50% setting, and it doesn't automatically go brighter when i go to bright room. I have to use manual mode and set it at 50%, now then it is bright. Is it i have a defect ambient sensor for auto brightness?

Looking forward for your reply :-)
*
It does seems Auto, but not according to what i want. Automatically cacat.

Some gaming review:
Heating while gaming is pretty good, i played the latest Need for Speed: No limit, the temperature only goes up until felt like having fever, slight warm.

Performace: The game runs surprisingly good on this phone, didn't feel any lag other than menu switching which may caused by game itself. it might be due to the graphic is not as intensive as Asphalt 8. Didn't tried Asphalt 8 though, too large the file.

Mini review of the game: The game is arcadish, quite fun to really feel the speed, no manual gear available, only option is controlling the steering. The car looks better than Asphalt 8, more street level with vinyl and customization look. The control is arcadish, easy to steer. You can't just bang anyone like in Asphalt 8, your car may damage. However, the surrounding got worse graphic, looks pixelated. You need to collect parts to upgrade your car and collect 3 cards to unlock a car. Only use one car so far, half an hour into the game.
