Its Richard Strauss: Symphonie Alpestre,  very nice one! Thanks for sharing bro!

Deutsche Grammophon pioneered the introduction of the compact disc to the mass market, debuting classical music performed by Herbert von Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic for sale in the new medium (compact disc) in 1983, the first recording being Richard Strauss' Eine Alpensinfonie.

I heard the cd recording sucks but the video on Sony rawks (can watch on Youtube).

BTW I've spotted some few Rock Corner branches that do sell KILLER classical cds once found regularly in Towers like Deutsche Grammophon (DG) titles, Phillips classics, EMI etc especially in Subang Parade and 1Utama.

No but I'm planning to keep a few until a get a kickass home theatre system. Nowadays I no more buy cds, just download.

Btw save up your cash and watch the two Mahler concerts. Most epic MPO concerts since the Alpine symphony!

For those Hitchcock fans, this is what u guys have been waiting for!

"Psycho" with Orchestra!
Experience one of the most fabulous examples of menace in music as Kevin Field drives the MPO through Bernard Hermann’s outstanding score for Hitchcock’s 1960 horror movie complete with its famous screeching violins. Hitchcock said that “33% of the effect of Psycho was in the music" and, with the movie screened as the MPO play, expect 100% thrills.

MPO

Nice.... If you like that, then try this: Shenmue Orchesta Version

Then again, I'm more of a soundtrack guy than classical music. tongue.gif

Others...

[ OP - FULL ] OST 01 Juuni kokki / The Twelve Kingdoms [CD 1] - Juuni Genmukyoku (Full Version)

[CD 4] OST 01 Juuni kokki / The Twelve Kingdoms - Kuni~Touhou Reiin ( Traditional Version )

Well known traditional music though not so "orchestral", but love the way it was put together and played.
