Wow, never even knew a thread like this existed...

My favourite has got to be Respighi's Ancient Airs

Used to go to the MPO too before college, refraining now because there is no longer any social value to it

He means that he went to DPM last time because his friends went and since he does not want to be a loner he thinks that DPM has lost its "social value"

Hi! Wow great site

The reason I writing into this site is because I need help

I'm looking for a music called the Hungarian Suicide Song.

It is written in the 1930 (I think by a Polish composer), and supposedly has a cursed attached to it.

It is both VERY sad and beautiful

If anyone know this music, do you know if there is a CD I can buy with this music on it

Also, if anyone is interested, Telarc has a colection of classic music called Chiller, fill with classical music that is more on a "weird" vibe (eg Night on Bald Mountain, Hall of the Mountain King from Peer Gynt and my favorite, Funeral March of a marionette [Alfred Hitchcock Theme song]) Very nice recording (especially if you have a good set of speakers)

On a lighter note, anyone looking forward to Disney rereleasing Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 next year on DVD and Blu-Ray

Keep up the good work people

Never heard about that music before...

By the way, I recommend you all this music: Giuseppe Tartini - Devil's Trill Sonata

This music is almost 300 years old, but still one of the most difficult violin music... Try go to wiki to look for its history...

Hi Tan_Pang

Wow, the main man (am assume, sorry if I got it wrong) himself!!

*I'm NOT worthy! I'M NOT WORTHY* notworthy.gif smile.gif

It's okay, after putting that on the forum, did a google search and found it on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloomy_Sunday

you've said it wiki

It's actually called Gloomy Sunday

Now to locate a cd...

After reading the forum, had look thru my classic cd collection and made 2 discovers

1) I actually got a number of them!!?

2) I don't have Stausse Blue Danube.... *Weird*

Thanks for the pointer (Giuseppe Tartini - Devil's Trill Sonata)

Keep up the good work!

Oh, you mean "Gloomy Sunday"...
My friend did mention this to me before, but not my interest...

By the way, The Blue Danube is one of the most famous classical music ever...

You can listen and look at the Waltz in this video
