the Nocturne No.20 is not bad
i really hope someone can recommend me his nocturne becoz nocturne usually played in evening party
and i hope can know every song that played in party tongue.gif
and thx for the Nocturne No.20
but the Nocturne Op.9...
maybe juz first time listen to it, not impress me well...

I have a compilation of piano scores of Chopin's Nocturnes. Too bad it's under the bench of my piano, and it's not with me now... 2 years... I haven't seen my piano for 2 years...

This 2 are the other 2 Nocturnes I have
1. Chopin-- Nocturne In E flat major Op.9 No.2 -- Andante
2. Chopin-- Nocturne In F sharp major Op.15 No.2 -- Larghetto

Nocturne Opus.9, 2 and Nocturne Op.15, 2...
hmm... will try if can

btw, i have tried Nocturne Opus.32 by Chopin, it is good!!! thumbup.gif

and also found another piano concerto that is good
which is Piano Concerto No.1 by Johannes Brahms
but the 1st mvt is time consuming
the beginning is stormy, quite good at there.
but becoz of very long time to perform (around 20 minute for the 1st mvt), it will make you feel bore later on...

and for the Johannes Brahms work
try his Symphony No.1 which is also stormy (but dun try the Columbia University Orchestra record, becoz their record cant hear the Timpani sound which coz the stormy feeling)
and also the Hungarian Dances - No. 5 in G minor (Allegro) (used in o2jam as the title "Brahms")

Here's another of my favourite piece of Chopin's work

Grande Polonaise Brillante In E flat major With Preceding Andante Spianato In G major Op.22 -- Polonaise. Allegro Molto

If you've seen The Pianist, you'll know that it was played at the end of the movie.

*Edit: Do you know where to get the piano score for Nocturne Op.32 No.2?

almost everyday i listen to hilary hahn playin bach violin concerto. prefer her version rather than zukerman or szeryng 1.
*
Another hilary hahn fan here! I like her style thumbup.gif
Where can I find her album Hilary Hahn Plays Bach in local stores? Tower Records KLCC dont have it sweat.gif

My journey into classical began with Mozart. I like his symphonies and the Requiem, but regretted my purchase of the Violin Concertos (was unimpressed).

Next i'll be checking out more of Chopin and Rachmaninov.

"Butterfly Lover Concerto" is violin concerto??

btw, i prefer Bach "Air" in "Orchestral Suite No.3"
it is really the best music by Bach
also a soft music
and can compete with Canon in D thumbup.gif
