Yeah, i also never think of that before, until i installed an aircond in my room, and lurk around the aircond thread and get to know this product. My 1st thinking is my cabin aircond filter, same type with the room aircond also, why not. thumbup.gif

Like Band-Pass filter said, the restrictive of the airflow is almost negligible, but look at the density of the filter you will know it can filter almost everything even just a thin sheet.

PS: Thank you for told me that tape is called 'velcro tape', really no idea what it called, even in Chinese, Hokkien, Malay whatever language. laugh.gif

The tape was left over from the DIY mosquito net set, which also can get from hardware shop for cheap price.

Anyway that Daiso filter adi included the tape inside.

Edited: Just searched the key word by davidke20, actually can found alot at taobao, 3M somemore.

2 years later I plan to upgrade 15" rim ... then might test C Drive 2, otherwise will go for XM2 ... have to test as often outstation a better tyre is required. But Falken Ziex 912 is obviously less noise than stock Ducaro GA

I prefer a more quite tyre.. but how about the grip of Falken?

I like a quiet tyre too and I'm now a bit peeved about the noise from the Ducaro that Daisy came with, oddly the tyres have gone from being as soft as butter for the first 1000 km to as hard as iron now with 7000 km up after a 4000 km trip over the last fortnight. their wear rate has slowed markedly but I'll be still avoiding Goodyear even though the tyre market here is very limited.

Daisy behaved herself splendidly on my trip, even managing to avoid all wildlife on her travels, of which there was less than expected.

On another issue my remote key lock has failed and I now feel David was right and it's best to avoid trying 2 x CR-2016 cells instead of 1 * CR-2032, yet another list of programming instructions posted here would be appreciated for when my replacement arrives.

Hello sifus. My current mileage is about 750. Tomorrow I'm going to Selangor from Kedah and it'll take more than 400 km. Would it be ok if I exceed 1k km? Like 1.5k or something?

The remote need 6V to operate, that's why it needs 2XCR2016 stack in series to achieve 6V. 1XCR2032 only can provide 3V, i don think is enuf for operation.

I just cleaned the TB using Threebond, now the idle RPM stay at 2-2.2k. Any way to bring it down to normal RPM without reflash the ECU? I plan to let it learn for 3 days see how, if still high then have to reflash ECU liao, any idea?

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Honestly me kenot brain how cleaning TB cld hv that kind of effect on the idle rpm... rclxub.gif
Unless, of course...
(1) got so much "dirt" on yr butterfly valve that's been removed & yr throttle is now so open 2increase rpm...?? shocking.gif
(2) something in 3bond that has tricked the sensors/ecu 2open up yr throttle & simulate better rpm response. ..a kind of butt dyno effect that yr TB has been so well cleaned? tongue.gif
Sometimes wonder wat's in these chemical concoctions which advertise "miracle cures" in engines.... rolleyes.gif

I did able to clean off the carbon effectively, the throttle body was just so dirty before cleaned. I just suspect the TB cleaner clean off the carbon on the sensor causing it to detect too much airflow with the same learnt value before cleaned. I use OBD2 to check, the throttle position is still the same, but the fuel flow is increase, it means it compensate too much fuel for idle. I check the fault code as well, 'system too rich' P0172 error recorded after cleaned.

I once cleaned 70k before, that time performed by workshop, same thing happen too, the workshop just plug in the computer and let the idle throttle to relearn. Online search alot of same cases happen to other brand of car too.

Maybe you need to try clean up the sensor connectors with WD40?

drive it normal for a few days... the throttle body cleaner contains highly flammable gas... the idle rpm stays so high is to burn off those gases... i get this before... clear with obd2 also cannot...

Same happened to my Goodyear, its doing 37,000KM now and the front tyres threads still have about 60%, the rear tyres are almost like new. The noise is getting louder, which makes talking in the car abit challenging.
